A gem of a city easily reached by rail from Liverpool. Small yet packed to the rafters with history, culture and stylish cafe/bar culture. At its heart, the historic black-and-white timbered "rows" provide a shopping experience like no other place on the planet.

There’s an old Welsh saying; “the best shortage is a shortage of words”. And we can understand why. Because when you travel through Snowdonia, the beautiful mountains leave you speechless. The Welsh castles’ battle-torn passageways are simply indescribable. And a lot of the destinations are as unpronounceable as they’re unbelievable. So, on this trip, we let you discover the elusive beauty of Wales. You enjoy the poetic landscapes and harbour towns that inspired Dylan Thomas, you venture through the inexpressibly beautiful valleys of two of Wales’ famous national parks, and you take in the history of Chester, an English town that sits by the border. Let the sights speak for themselves and join our tour of North Wales and Chester.

What a great day out. Travelled with a friend on the North Wales/Chester trip in September. From boarding the coach in Manchester to arriving back, we were fed history, myths, legends, jokes and music from our excellent guide Darren. He was so informative, even including history of Manchester and it’s music. The coach was clean and comfortable, the places we visited were stunning. We will definitely use Rabbies again, small group tours an added bonus.

The guide was very good, was on time, had abundance of information, amazing narration style combined with sound effects too. However, the trip was all transportation there wasnt enough time to appreciate anything, Hawkhead village was not necessary, also we signed up for something we didnt get which is Lancaster which kind of put me off.

We arrived at chester bus station and was greeted by the extremely friendly and helpful Peter. We had been unable to print our tickets but peter was more than happy to help us redeem them and reccomend other things to do, such as the boat ride up the Dee, which we also did. Peter is an excellent representative of your company. As a pro tip, the boat tickets where also cheaper by booking through the bus, which is helpful for those who like to mix up their activities throughout the day. Our little one (1 yr old) loved the open bus tour and giggled her way through. I enjoyed the interesting facts on the tour and it was a lovely sunny day, which also helped! We hoped off and on the bus at different spots, such as town centre and pier. The busses where frequent and great for some of the tourist spots. We happened to get back on the bus after our boat ride and met peter again, who was his normal friendly self. We rode the bus around 1.5 times and finished our tour at chester bus station. The route is Excellent for the park and ride busses that stop right next to the sightseeing bus. The bus also stops at the train station, so handy access for anyone who travels in to Chester by public transport. The tour took around 50min per loop, with around 20-30mins between each bus.

Another great day trip from London is to the heart of great English heritage, Canterbury, with its cathedral and bucolic streets and the streams where you can enjoy punting right in the heart of lovely English countryside. Canterbury, a medieval town, still has its old town walls and has not changed much in over 700 years. Just like thousands of pilgrims did before, Canterbury is a pilgrimage destination after Thomas Becket’s murder whilst he was praying. After lovely Canterbury, you will head towards the picturesque Leeds Castle, through green, untouched Kent countryside with narrow lanes, hectares of land, huge lovely houses and total privacy. That is the dream that some of the most beautiful villages in Kent offers. It housed Kings and Queens and was used for government conferences and romantic private weddings in modern times. It's great to explore everything and travel through history in such beautiful surroundings. A great day out experience is waiting for you. Just join us!
