Nirai Beach is truly Okinawan at heart. Not a touristy trap, but a place of cultural importance. The area is surrounded by nature. Lovely ocean, flora, people. It's quite a cultural experience to visit. If staying in the hotel Nikko Alivila or just a visitor you will have a great time. It's my secret place to visit away from the crowds when I want to experience Okinawa intimately.

Our aim: “To get more people from around the world to fall in love with Japan by means of the sea.” The service we provide is based on our unwavering commitment to this mission statement. We are true marine professionals, specialized in the areas of travel and the sea. Our boss is one of the rare few diving instructors in Japan who is also an instructor certifier (with the top level qualification to evaluate diving instructors and act as an examiner). He also has practical teaching experience as a marine sports college lecturer. Therefore, all of our staff can take on the role of diving instructors to conduct professional and interesting courses and receive each of our customers in a cheerful and friendly manner.

This castle ruin is located in central Okinawa near the Cape Zampa lighthouse. Unlike so many other attractions there was free parking and no admission fee! The castle itself is located with a well maintained park which is quite peaceful to walk through. It was great to be able to climb up on top of the castle walls and get a great view of the ocean. There is a museum located next to the park that had an admission fee that we didn't enter. Would definitely recommend this detour if you're driving through the area.

Cape Zampa is a beautiful area. There is a large parking area, from here you can branch off and go see the large shisha, feed the goats, and then make your way to the light house and walk some of the trails. There are nice paved trails scattered around the area and you get great views of the sea and cliffs. I was here on a Saturday afternoon and it was beautiful and not very crowded. It looks like there is a lot to do just in this area so I can see myself coming back here several times.

I’ve always loved pottery and was super excited to go to the village. It was so nice to meander and poke about the studios. You can see how they cater to the tourists but you can also do the unique pieces as well. Not all the studios were open and you couldn’t really see the artists at work but it was still awesome to walk around and check out all the pottery. We bought some for ourselves, our friends and family.

i have been here a couple of times, winter and summer, To be honest I prefer the winter, more private and less trafic, summer the beach is set up with umbrellas and chair, can get quite busy, nice sand and good swimming
