Telč is a real secret in Czech Republic. Although this country is full of gorgeous Old Towns, this is my favourite, a real highlight, a true gem. The main square is 100% old houses, each one competing to be the most beautiful.

We loved it here!! It seems like it’s only accessible by car which worked for us, parking all day is 2 euros. Remember to book your tickets in advance by emailing them so that you’re not disappointed! The whole email booking process was very easy and seamless. The tour itself starts a 2km walk away from the entrance and you can either pay for a tram or walk. The tram is 100czk both ways and well worth it because you’ll be doing walking in the cave itself as well. The cave was 8 degrees Celsius when we went so we were happy we brought our coats along with us! The tour was fantastic even though we didn’t understand a word of Czech. The caves were really amazing for the 10 euro entrance fee. We didn’t do the extra cable car to the top and didn’t feel like we missed anything. Would 100% recommend visiting this place!

Located on a rock above the village of Nedvedice, and the rivers Svratka and Nedvedice, and about 25 miles northwest of Brno, this is one of the most beautiful of Moravian castles. It is also one of the biggest Gothic strongholds, and one the best preserved in the Czech Republic. It retains a domineering, medieval look as its towers, and ramparts loom over the countryside. It came to be known as the "Marble Castle" because of the marble-like stone used to frame the doors and windows. A creaky, wonderful place of many levels, its various sections are linked by a labyrinth of secret passages, corridors, and winding staircases (we climbed about 200 stairs on our tour). Each floor offers something marvelous to see. Some of the most interesting rooms include the Knights Hall and the Library, a masterpiece filled with remarkable Baroque bookcases holding 15,000 volumes, along with stuffed and mounted birds. During our tour, we not only learned about the history of the castle, we also felt the history. Pernštejn is not just a sight that is not to be missed. It is an unforgettable journey back in time.

A really well done zoo with many very modern exhibits. The clear highlight is the enormous sun bear enclosure which is beautifully done, has many different viewing opportunities and is one of the best I have ever seen. Their two young sun bears Adam and Aja are very active and show really well to the public and who I was fortunate enough to enjoy hand feeding. There has clearly been a lot of recent investment into building the zoo up and it has been done wonderfully. It is exceptionally attractive. The Hokkaido garden is very picturesque and Africa and Australia sections are really nice. The collection is good, especially with regards to small cat species. This is a really great zoo.

Very nice church and surroundings, with short history exhibition underground and very nice herbal garden (also with traditional chinesse medicine herbs). Amazing view from garden.

The Jewish cemetery is really large. It is roughly divided in two parts: the newest one, just at the entrance and the oldest, probably the most interesting, located on the slope to the small valley.
