This is such a lovely small & intimate theatre. Go to the Green Room first for a lovely cuppa, enjoy the show, have a tub of New Forest ice cream in the interval & leave at the end of the show thinking "that was a great evening"...

Romsey Signal Box is a building from around 1865 and a working museum which gives an insight into the life of a railway signalman and railway signalling in general. Visitors of all ages can get a hands on experience by operating points, clearing signals and ringing bells to control a simulation of trains passing through Romsey. As well as the main attraction, the site has a visitor center containing artifacts and photographs and a cafe serving drinks and light refreshments. Disabled access is possible and although the operating floor is step access only we have installed a CCTV link to allow anyone to view the inside of the signal box from the ground floor visitor center.
This is a fascinating place run by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The demos in the signal box itself were truly enlightening and I felt I properly understood our railway history from these. Well worth a visit, I’d say.

Just wandering around Romsey and found the park, there was a lovely statue of a horse and rider telling the story of Romseys link to the horses sent to the front in the first world war, very informative. The park was in lovely condition, well maintained and a pleasant place to stroll or relax.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Norman Abbey — home to a thriving Christian congregation. With a lofty nave and round Norman arches, Romsey Abbey is one of the most imposing churches in Southern England. It’s home to a number of treasures, including two Saxon roods, a 16th-century reredos (a screen displayed behind an altar) and the tomb of the Lord Mountbatten of Burma, great-uncle of Prince Charles.
The Abbey is located in the centre of Romsey and dominates the skyline. Built in Saxon times, of its type it is one of the oldest in the UK. Very few people inside and the sense of silence is overwhelming. The tomb of Earl Mountbatten of Burma, who lived nearby at Broadlands is held within the abbey and points a different way to all other tombstones in the Abbey. It points towards the sea, because his wife was buried at sea. His Indian Standards are hung in the nave. The surrounding grounds are well used by people relaxing, having lunch and taking in the Abbey views.

Miss Moody's Tudor Tea Room is open, serving lunches, snacks, cream teas and cakes from 12th April 2021 in the beautiful King John's Garden. The medieval King John's House and the Moody Museum will reopen for timed ticket admission as soon as Government rules allow. Miss Moody's Tudor Tea Room is a quintessentially English tea room offering home prepared breakfasts and lunches, homemade cream teas and cakes. Outside seating is available in the delightful King John's Garden which is part of King John's House and Museum.
Tucked away in a tiny street, near Romsey Abby is Kings John's House, an amazing building dating back to the 13th century. Reputedly built for King John, this building shows the many alterations and changes of use that have taken place up to the early 20th century. We found this an absolutely fascinating building, if you are very lucky, the centre's manager may give a guided tour, one of the best we have ever experienced. If you like English history, this is a must! MG, Harrow

Romsey Rapids swimming pool is fun for all the family. With a toddler pirate ship, rapids, flume and more.
Booked online to take our kids to the pool at half term. The booking system ensured that the pool was not too busy and we had good fun on the slide and in the rapids. The changing areas were good and the Covid procedures seemed sensible. All I’m a good visit
