Very beautiful church up high in Rocamadour. There are lots of stairs and the place was quite crowded. Everyone wore masks, but people were still very close! Still a must see!

I love this place and would say it is a must see if you are anywhere near by. We drove about an hour to see this and our family loved every minute of the walk around the castle, church and little village nestled in the cliff.

La Foret des Singes A magical moment, a unique encounter ! An exciting walk amongst more than 150 free roaming Barbary Macaques. No bars, no cages to hinder your view. A direct contact with this amazing species. Feeding talks throughout the day.
We had an ok trip to Rocamadour, but on our way home stopped at the Monkey forest. I am so pleased we did as it made the trip worth it!

Breathtaking is the word I would use to describe our very first sighting of this incredible town, perched high on the rock face. The Chateau, the clock and the town dwellings were just a few of the things visible from the car park. We walked to the town and once you step inside, we were amazed by what we saw. The churches, the walk down into the town, passing the Stations of the Cross, the magnificent architecture of the whole place is just stunning. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, even a train ride. For us this place was the icing on the cake. Truly impressive from start to finish!!

Walk to the Chateau and its grounds at the top of the valley walls above Rocamadour, then be sure to take the long way back home walking along the old pathway at the top of the valley rim coming all the way around and down through the tunnel into the valley below - follow the stream to the artists' studios - cross the bridge and climb back up the old cobbled streets past the tiny hole-in-the wall vendors back to your hotel in the old town above.
