We took part in the ‘Meet the animals’ wildlife experience at Feadon farm which was great, the team really knew there stuff and it was really interesting learning about the rescues and animal facts. Loved meeting all the animals, great for kids and adults as everyone gets a chance to get stuck in! Highly recommend and will be back to take part in another experience soon! ????

Elm Farm offers you family friendly bike hire, cafe and accommodation in a stunning rural Cornish setting close to the sandy beaches of Porthtowan (1 mile)and Portreath (2.5 miles). The Coast to Coast Trail allows cyclists to travel from the North coast to the South coast in less than 2 hours. This cycle trail is just part of an extensive network following the routes of 7 former mining railways called "The Mineral Tramways". We have a lovely 2 bedroomed cottage which has a beautiful garden enjoying stunning views - cottage residents receive free bike hire throughout their stay.
5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My partner and i fancied going on a bike ride on Sunday so we rang Elm farm on the sunday morning and the owner (I think his name was Simon, sorry if i am wrong) had 2 bikes ready and waiting for us when we arrived. He is a really nice man, so friendly, welcoming and helpful, he couldn't do enough for us. The bike that i was given was a brand new bike, straight out of the box and it was excellent, gears, breaks everything was perfect. My partners bike was also brilliant! We were sent out with an emergency kit, just in case we had a flat tire etc. but we had no trouble at all. We highly recommend Elm farm and we will always use them from now on, we will definitely be returning again very soon, looking foward to it! Thank you so much for a fantastic experience ????????????

Stayed in Redruth for a couple of nights and finding this cinema was a revelation. Great choice of films, very comfy seats, extremely helpful and friendly staff and the food (highly recommend the movie and meal deal) was very tasty and plentiful. If we ever find ourselves back in Redruth we will definitely visit the Regal again.

What a great little museum, a real "hidden gem". Packed full of models toys and even a steam engine it is well worth a visit. As someone who had trainsets in my youth I was delighted to see the museum's huge collection of model railways, it was a lovely trip down memory lane and I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in railway models. There is also a large collection of mining locomotives, from several of Cornwall's well known tin mines and you even ride in train behind one.

We love seeking out slightly less obvious attractions and Gwennap Pit was well worth negotiating the small country lanes to find. I knew the Visitor's Centre would be closed as we were visiting during October half term, but while we were reading the information boards outside, somebody came out of the indoor chapel and asked if we'd like to see inside before she locked up. It was absolutely charming, with only enough seating for about a dozen people, the tiniest chapel I've ever seen and still in use. Gwennap Pit itself is really unique; formed when an old mine collapsed, it now stands as a memorial to the Methodist movement after John Wesley preached there and declared it "The most magnificent spectacle this side of Heaven". We were the only visitors and took our time walking around each of the 12 'rings', apparently when full, it will hold 1500 people. It was a real highlight of our trip to Cornwall.

Most people travel to Cornwall for the beaches and coastline granted. Stithians however is a hidden gem. A lovely walk with or without the dogs. Water activities, a nice cafe, pub lunch, campsite , kids park ,something for everyone. Now I live in Glossop derbyshire close to the Woodhead, Snake pass and Peak district , with Derwent not far away. That said this is a beautiful location that has everything you could want , mother nature at it's best. Come visit, camp and enjoy. I visit this area three ,four times a year and when this dam Covid is behind us , I'll be back. Stay safe . Tom D from glossop
