This was the first time I got my hair cut since lockdown, the staff were very professional and the salon had put social distancing measures in place which made me feel safe and comfortable. Abii cut and styled my hair, she was very friendly and approachable and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with my new hair style and I would thoroughly recommend this salon and Abii in particular.

I was given a one hour flight experience as a Christmas present which was great. When I saw it was a static simulator I was a little let down, expecting an actual moving flight simulator. Fear not! With the wrap-around windows it really felt like I was moving. The sound effects, landing gear rumbling etc added to the atmosphere. I couldn't fault it for feeling like an actual flight. My wife sat behind me and she also felt like she was actually flying. We enjoyed looking out of the windows at the scenery passing by. I can assure you, you will not realise you are static. I was most impressed by the flying experience. The instructor was very professional, giving me adequate instruction without overloading me with too much info. I chose a couple of routes to 'fly', and enjoyed every minute. Definitely recommend this as a gift or spoil yourself and give it a go.

Me and my husband visited for our first ever escape room experience and we loved both rooms! Everything is perfectly designed and thought out with brilliant props and scenery for a fully immersive experience; we had great fun as a team of 2 but I imagine it would be even better with more team members! The puzzles were the right level of challenging to make them fun but still get you thinking and it was a great feeling when you accomplished them! The Merlin room was our favourite, everything was so magical and you really felt like you were in another world, we want to do it again! Richie is so friendly and always on hand should you need extra clues. We cant wait to come back and try the new rooms!

We came to Escape Peterborough a couple of weeks ago to try out one of their rooms, at first glance I’ll be honest the place looks like a standard office building “how can you have escape rooms here” I thought to myself We were greeted by a nice gentleman named Luke he introduced himself and ask us if we had played before (which we had) really nice humour and rapport that you don’t usually get at businesses like these, after we got ourselves ready we were greeted by what felt like 30,000 steps to the top floor (don’t worry it’s only about 2 floors up) and were brought into a narrow corridor, Luke then proceeded to give us our safety tips and our story and as he said “your time starts now” we where wowed as this is the moment we entered the room and saw the amazing decor, I haven’t played many escape rooms but this is definitely one of the best looking ones for sure!!! The puzzle were difficult but not impossible and we managed to escape and save our dog in an amazing time of 43:23 I can say this is our first room with Escape Peterborough but it will NOT be our last we were amazing stunned with how amazing the room looked and how good the puzzles were props to the person who designed that room it was phenomenal, and our Game Master Luke made the experience even more enjoyable he made us feel immersed with the game with the slight nudges he gave us, he is one man that seems like he loves his job!!! 11/10 would escape again

Peterborough Cathedral

Peterborough Cathedral is in the heart of the historic city of Peterborough, England. There has been a place of worship and prayer on the site for 1350 years, the present building approaching its 900th anniversary. With superb Gothic West Front and beautiful hand-painted wooden nave ceiling. Peterborough Cathedral is also the resting place of Henry VIII's first wife, Katherine of Aragon. The Cathedral was also once the resting place of Mary Queen of Scots until her body was moved to Westminster Abbey in 1612. Today it continues to be the focus for a vibrant community. It is the principle church for the Church of England diocese of Peterborough, which serves Northamptonshire, Rutland and the Soke of Peterborough. The origins of the cathedral can be traced back to King Peada of the Middle Angles who founded the first monastery on the site in 655AD. The monastic settlement was almost entirely destroyed by the Vikings in 870 and rebuilt as a Benedictine Abbey between 960 and 970. The Abbey church then survived Hereward the Wake’s attack on the Abbey in 1069, and remained intact until an accidental fire destroyed the second Abbey here in 1116. It was rebuilt in its present form between 1118 and 1238. It became the Cathedral of the new Diocese of Peterborough in 1541 and it is now known as the Cathedral Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Andrew.

This visit exceeded our expectations; the cathedral is very large and has fantastic architectural features. A tip is to make sure you look upwards! There is no admission fee although you are encouraged to make a donation. There are even free tours at some times of the day. If you wish to attend a service, they occur every day in the late morning and early afternoon. If you are visiting and do not wish to participate in the service, you can continue your visit using the side aisles. The history of the cathedral is fascinating and you can see the final resting place of Katherine of Aragon as well as getting an understanding of Tudor history with the transition from Benedictine monastery to cathedral. Highly recommended.
