We attend plays and sometimes concerts on a monthly basis, we have had season tickets for 3 years and love the plays, the actors as well as the dining, the ease of getting into and out of the venue, truly a pleasurable experience and I really appreciate how the actors always draw us into the stories, sometimes with very minimal props even! We will continue to visit this venue for years to come.

Peoria Sports Complex

Peoria Sports Complex was the first Major League Baseball spring training and player development facility in the country shared by two teams. Built in 1994, the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners utilize the facility year round. The complex has a main stadium and twelve practice fields. In addition to baseball tournaments, the facility hosts community events, concerts, art and trade shows, weddings and group events. The surrounding area includes numerous hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

This was our second visit to the Peoria ballpark, with seven years in between. They have made many great improvements to the park. The fan experience is still excellent. The food prices and variety are really good at this park. They have outside vendors all through the park, especially behind the lawn seats in the outfield. They have a great craft beer selection in several places in the park. Their dedication to bringing in outside vendors kept the prices considerably lower than in other parks and the variety is wonderful. The only warning I would give fans is that there is very little shade at this park even in the seats. Overall, because all of the cactus league teams travel around, if you want a great experience come watch your team in Peoria.

Who would have thought that Peoria, Arizona would have a theater that provided quality shows and music. A wonderful little venue where the atmosphere was pleasant, the seats wonderful and the staff extremly friendly. The night I went there was free summer concert and the music played by the two artists ranged from an electric violin to acoustical guitar. Great show! I highly recommend taking a look and I am sure when you do you will not be disappointed at the quality of any performance in this small town called Peoria.

New River Trail

Reviewed By divaw0rld - Richfield, United States

My walking partner (our younger dog) and I had visited some of the recommended mountain trails. I say visited, because on more than one occasion, there were so many people and NO parking available that we left. Starting an outing with unneeded stress isn't my idea of fun. I started looking at different trails on some of the links that popped up on the internet. New River Trail, not too far from where we were visiting, looked interesting. It became our new hiking venue and didn't fail to provide relaxing walks, a desert venue in the midst of urban living, water along the trail, and pick-up bags for walking partners like mine. We easily found New River Trail to be an easy hike with only a few grades that only minimally increased our heart beats. We shared the trail with other walkers, walkers and dogs, moms and kids, runners and plenty of bicyclists. Most of the folks we encountered were friendly, returning my hello. Unlike the reports of some of the other reviews (and as we encountered along some of the other trails), we met no homeless folks. I included 'safe' in the title for this review as safety is a major concern, even when walking with my dog. The only negative to hiking on this trail was the amount of dog poo left by inconsiderate owners. On the plus side, the amount observed was much less than other trails in the Phoenix area. I highly recommend this trail, and maybe we'll be saying 'hi' to you one of these days!
