Mata Mansa Devi Mandir

Reviewed By chithracb - Bengaluru, India

A long felt wish was fulfilled by visiting this holy temple in Panchkula. One of the Shakthi peetams. We as a family with old people opted to go to the Shrine using the lift. To access to the entry using lift is slightly a different way. It is a free service (using lift). Generally, people walking to the temple in an adjacent route, but if you ask for the way to use the lift service, they will guide you. Very neatly maintained temple. Mata welcomes you with a serene smile. Just before the sanctum sanctorum don't miss to see the various forms of Mata painted on the roof of the wall. There was no crowd when we visited. There are shrines for Lord Shiva, Ganesh and Anjaneya. I heard that they serve free food daily for the devotees and the temple is also kept open from morning till evening. Very much satisfied after having the darshan of Maanasa Devi.

Gurudwara Nada Sahib

Reviewed By davindersgrewal - Santorini, Greece

Gurudwara Nada Sahib, a Sikh Temple, situated on the banks of River Ghaggar in Panchkula commemorates the visit of Tenth Sikh Guru with his victorious Army on their return journey from Paunta Sahib to Anandpur Sahib. Pleased with the logistics services provided to Guru Gobind Singh and his army of men and horses during their stay here Guru Gobind Singh blessed Bhai Nadu Shah that the place would be known as Nada Sahib to honour him for the services rendered to the Guru and his men. The Tenth Guru also ordained that henceforth anyone who pays his obeisance here will have all his fulfilled. A beautiful Gurudwara has come up there with a prayer hall, a langar hall, a Jorha Ghar (for safe keeping of shoes while going to the Gurudwara), huge car parking, well equipped & comfortable rooms for the pilgrims and a market vending Sikh religion relics & souvenirs. The Gurudwara serves wholesome meals 24/7 to all pilgrims free of charge as per the norms of Sikhism. The Gurudwara runs a school for children and also a charitable dispensary. A visit to the Gurudwara Nada Sahib is a must for all Sikhs and other Believers to seek the blessings of the Tenth Master. Every Full Moon and also on Gurpurabs the Gurudwara is decorated with flowers and lights and special programs are held. Amrit Daan is given to all willing to strictly follow the Sikh tenets on Pooranmassi (Full Moon). May Guru Gobind Singh Ji shower his blessings on all mankind.

Morni Fort: The Golden Bastions

Reviewed By TravellerPetals - New Delhi, India

Visited Morni Hills in September 2018, so do read my reviews about the Hotel Mountain Quail by Haryana Tourism and I had to get this location added into TripAdvisor as it was not coming up. Anyhow, this is located just 1 minute away from the hotel and is located next to the Forest Department office in Morni and once you start walking up the steep incline one comes to the entrance of the Fort. There is a very small temple right next to the entrance, which is good. There is also parking space for vehicles. There is a historical description of how this fort came about being and who it was bestowed upon. Once you enter the gates, one would expect to see the "fort" like things, but to your astonishment - there is nothing which holds anything of a fort. Even more surprisingly, the Forest Department has created this wonderful Eco-Friendly message with 3-D models of animals, huge Copper Plated plaques telling how the humans evolved thru the ages, and what is the present scenario. The attached photos will tell you what I am speaking about. There is a small door to east - where one can go to see the awesome valley below and also the 2 sides of the fort and the tower from the outside. We were literally amazed at how well the inside has been maintained and converted into this mecca of Environment and saving the planet. Very nicely done and impeccable maintenance. Spend a lot of time there with the kids and explain what all this is for - as it is their future.
