Located in a picturesque country setting, the Huron Country Playhouse is just minutes from the shores of sparkling Lake Huron in the heart of Ontario's West Coast. This popular vacation destination is full of charm and endless possibilities to discover breathtaking beaches, culinary delights, outstanding accommodations, unique shopping and countless recreational pursuits. In 2011 the Huron Country Playhouse celebrated its landmark 40th Anniversary with an ambitious $4.0 million capital infrastructure expansion and improvement project. Visitors to the theatre can see the upgrades to the front-of-house including new washrooms, lobby, refreshment bar, box office, and gift shop operated by the Huron Country Playhouse Guild, a community-based organization comprised of 90 volunteers. There are 650 brand new theatre seats in the mainstage, and the Playhouse II has been completely renovated, increasing from 150 chairs to a fully raked 300 seat auditorium. Infrared hearing and wheelchair access are available to patrons who require special assistance. A visit to the Huron Country Playhouse takes less than an hour from Stratford, London and Sarnia.

If you like a woodland setting, near the sandy beach (Lake Huron) protected sand dunes and multiple recreational opportunities included hiking, biking, canoeing and relaxing at the campfire, this is the place for you. Very difficult to get a summer site but after labour day the week days are available and even some good sites on the weekends. Look for sites and pricing based on age (Senior Rates, Groups Tents, RV's, Premium sites), Pet Free or Radio free zones. This is a large park and from our experience one of the best along Lake Huron's shoreline. A Visitors Centre and Park store offer cultural information, rentals and even some common food items.

One of the best beaches in Ontario. Nice and clean Bring water shoes as this beach is all pebbles and body suit if you can’t stand the cold water. Lots of activities. Paddleboarding parasailing kayaking etc. Beach was crowded on the weekend. Lifeguards on duty. You have to get here early for a parking spot(4 dollars per hour) or park along Main Street 2.00 per hour. Lots of shopping and restaurants along Main Street. No shady spot so walk with beach umbrellas.

A stunning valley cut through flat farm lands. Beautiful views, trails, waterways, stairs... to explore. Take a 20-minute circle walk along the trail system or take a longer walk up the stream bed. End it all with a cool shower under the falls or in the pool at the bottom of the falls. Enjoy a picnic at the picnic tables and a viewing of local wildlife, fossils (can collect one fossil per person from the creek bed), and artifacts in the small and interesting museum.

There's more to explore at Lambton Heritage Museum! We are a community museum that preserves and interprets the history of Lambton County. We welcome residents and visitors to come discover our stories and incredible artifacts. There are two main galleries as well as five historic buildings and two exterior exhibition halls. Our main galleries are open year-round and our outdoor buildings are open from May to November (weather permitting). Visit our Exhibits webpage www.lambtonmuseums.ca/exhibits for more information about the feature and ongoing exhibits. Great activities at the museum include our "I Spy" artifact challenge and the beautiful Woodland Heritage Trail, which winds through our incredible oak savanna habitat.
This museum truly has something for everyone! The curator is friendly and personable, the exhibits are well done, the cut glass collection is huge, and the outdoor buildings contain numerous interesting artifacts.
