3 of us enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon tea at this pretty corn mill near Ilfracombe bay. One friend is diabetic and I am vegan. The staff were very knowledgeable about different dietary needs. My freshly baked vegan cheese scone was delicious, the nicest scone I have ever had. There was a choice of savoury or sweet (24 hours notice required for vegan). There was a choice of cheese or houmous with it. I chose cheese with onion marmalade for my scone and houmous and chutney for my sandwich. The bread was lovely. After, there was a choice of 2 vegan cakes( raspberry and coconut or cherry and chocolate), both delicious. It was served with a huge pot of tea. There was plenty to eat , the food was delicious ( much is baked with their own milled flour) and it was very reasonably priced.

South West Coast Path Walk - Ilfracombe and the Torrs

This 3.2 mile route on the South West Coast Path travels through a long wooded valley to The Torrs, a rugged area also known as 'The Seven Hills' with tremendous views across the Bristol Channel. Any walk around the town features steep gradients, but the magnificent cliff scenery towering above the picturesque harbour makes it worth the effort.

A great walk from Combe Martin to ilfracombe. Many covered wooded paths if steep in places. Mouth watering views in the sunshine. Well worth doing if hard work in the sun. Widmouth definitely worth a visit ????????

Visited twice during our stay and had a fantastic time both visits. Carole was so welcoming and made a really effort to explain the games and play with us. Would really recommend to anyone who enjoys playing games, they have a great range for all abilities and types of games. If you have a rainy day or evening, there isn't a better way to spend the time - we ended up buying 3 different games they we played as they were so much fun. Games were also really well priced and cheaper than online prices. Thanks for all your hospitality!

We just stayed for a week in July 2020 in Basset apartment and had a great time. We had access to the swimming pool by ourselves for an hour or two each day which was lovely, probably nicer than normal as had pool to ourselves. Theme park currently closed to general publuic due to covid but we had access to mini golf and crazy snooker which the boys played and had good fun as well as walking round gardens. Spacious apartments, very clean, TV, kitchen with cooker and fridge, dining table, sofas, bunk bed room and double bed room. Bathroom with bath and shower and good size. We booked last minute having had to cancel our holiday to Thailand / Borneo due to covid. Had a lovely week there - as well as swimming, crazy golf and snooker we went on a boat trip to Lundy where we swam with seals then walked round the island (Wild Frontier), a coastal boat trip with a beautiful sunset (Ilfracombe SeaSafari) and went gorging (Adventure Okehampton). Had lovely fish and chips in Ilfracombe and a couple of terrible Chinese meals from Coombe Martin and a meal at the restaurant by Watermouth Lodges where had fresh fish which was excellent. Coombe Martin is also very pretty.

I Was very sceptical about visiting as it’s tucked away and looks small. But once inside it’s like a tardis. Excellent museum lots of local exhibits and very interesting. Staff friendly and helpful. Well worth the small fee. Perfect on a wet day.

Tunnels Beaches

Reviewed By Bearessa - Khao Lak, Thailand

This afternoon we have been to Tunnels Beaches, first carved out in 1823 by Welsh miners, it took 2 years for the tunnels to be carved out, and they also built 3 tidal bathing pools 2 for the ladies and 1 for the men, sadly due to the strong tides only one pool remains, great place to spend a couple of hours
