We parked in Sunset Park in Petoskey and headed to Harbor Springs. In order to avoid the airport and the noise of busy roads, turn down Beach Road and follow this quiet road all the way to the delightful town of Harbor Springs. You will pass lovely homes and waterfront views. There are many eateries to choose from in Harbor Springs before you head back to your starting point.

The day we visited, the Visitor Center wasn't open, but we enjoyed the river cut out and the ponds. We were disappointed that we couldn't feed the fish, as friends had told us how much they enjoyed that. Still a very worthwhile stop!

This is an amazing trail to hike by a river. We took my father- in- law who was also able to walk it. Nice afternoon in nature not too far from downtown petoskey.

I loved coming here on my birthday. My boyfriend and I had spent time in Mackinac City and were on our way back home to Traverse City. We love Petoskey so before picking up our Indian food at a restaurant across the highway we decided to play putt putt golf at Pirates Cove Adventure Golf. What a blast. The staff welcomed us and handed us a Captain's Course card. We didn't bother keeping score. It was so much fun to just enjoy the game in the moment. The course is easy to navigate and there's some challenging golf holes.. Lots of trees and quaint waterways and falls add to the charm. I can't wait to go back someday again. If you want to brush up on your golfing this little gem on Highway 31 in Petoskey will win you over.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The setting, scenery and grounds are all gorgeous. We were immediately welcomed by Geoff and selected a glass of wine to enjoy drinking under the apple tree in Adirondack chairs. They did a very nice job making wines from the various grapes and creating a Napa Valley like building and experience. I highly recommend you include this stop on your wine trail trip, or just to enjoy for a single visit as we did!

Great find on trip advisor. Whether you want just one fresh produce item or a bushel, worth stopping here for fresh items.

Gingerbread cottages with flower-filled window boxes built in the 1880s, and streets shaded by tall leafy trees, take you back to a simpler time. There are concerts and plays to attend in the spacious auditorium in the heart of Bay View. Enjoy hiking trails, tennis courts, swimming and sailing in Little Traverse Bay. Browse in the well-stocked library, pick up your mail at the old fashioned post office, while munching on freshly baked pastries. Evenings often bring awe-inspiring sunsets in shades of gold, orange and crimson, a perfect ending of a peaceful or energetic day in Bay View.

The Lyric Theatre is a non-profit organization offering first run, foreign, classic & family favorites movies on Main Street in Harbor Springs, MI. Our three unique theaters each have their own theme & state of the art equipment.
Love the small theater rooms with their local mural paintings on the walls! The large theater seats 200 and has stars, the milky way, and even occasional shooting stars that flash by. The gourmet organic, non gmo popcorn is made with fresh butter and the old time candies, and baked goods, that they sell here are a treat! We especially love that they sell beer, Wine, hard ciders, and white claw drinks. Come early if it is a weekend or holiday since many shows sell out quickly during prime time showings, and summertime high season. The are special matinees for free or $2 that are geared toward kids, special groups or seniors as a community service. Their volunteer staff is very nice too. The only downside here is that it is very expensive if you buys tickets, alcohol drinks, Popcorn and candy. But go ahead and go all out occasionally, especially a couples night out, since is a great cause, and a nice evenings entertainment. Movie selections are both current, and unusual, so we always find something interesting to see. Well worth the trip.

The four of us had a pleasant afternoon outside sampling our cider flights. It wasn't busy so we could take our time studying the board and carefully choosing our pours. My favorite was the Apple Blueberry. It was a perfect outing for a fall day. Next time, I will bring some snacks to share.

Searching for Petoskey Stones, walking out to the light house, watching the fishing boats, yachts, and sailboats, catching a baseball or softball game, browsing the history museum, relaxing on the large grass park lawn, walking the dog, so many things to do at this park near the marina. There is plenty of parking and you can walk under the road and up to the GasLight District of Petoskey.
