Updating previous review: Love, love, LOVE this group! No issues finding enough room to move about this visit, but classes are definitely popular so either sign up online or get to the studio 10-15 minutes before class time if you want to do a drop in. With limited #OBX visiting time I prefer to schedule everything out in advance, and the 10 class pack made it easy for me to get my yoga on while at the same time ensuring adequate “spontaneous time” for the family. Also, with the numerous classes I was fortunate to meet many of their instructors, all of whom are top notch! I lost my local studio back home a couple of years ago and have yet to find a new one that is the right fit and as a result have been woefully out of practice. These yogis made me feel at ease with my rustiness, challenged yet not defeated. I feel so good now that I even took an AM SUP yoga class with them, my first one ever, and I loved it. Do NOT feel intimidated. As promised, falling in is half the fun. ???? 2016 review: Excellent retreat I have taken classes with this group in years past at their previous location and found them to be professional, skilled and accomodating. This year I indulged in several different styles of yoga: Vinyasa flow heated and standard as well as Yin; I enjoyed each immensely. I absolutely LOVE their new location: EASY to access, (compared to before), TONS of parking and there is the option for an RELAXING walk before or after class along Currituk Sound via the city's boarwalk! ???? The sole reason for my 4/5 rating is space! This group is popular so do get to your studio, East or West, 15 minutes ahead of your class to stake your spot. I personally do not like to be in the middle and quaters can be tight. ????

What do you get when you combine Boats, Wine and Good Times? The hottest new tour on the Outer Banks! Vineyard Voyage departs the quaint Outer Banks community of Duck and crosses scenic Currituck Sound by boat to Sanctuary Vineyards. Upon arrival at a historic hunting lodge boathouse you begin the overland part of the voyage in an open-air 4x4 safari truck. Sanctuary Vineyards is located on the historic Wright Brothers Farm, an area rich in waterfowl heritage and farming which dates back to the 1800s. You'll travel through the marsh and cross agriculture fields to reach the 33 acres of viniferous grapes. Once you arrive at the vineyard, you'll get a behind the scenes tour of the winery and receive a private wine tasting. Learn the vine-to-glass process, smell the French oak barrels and meet the master winemakers behind this intriguing process. Make reservations early, this tour sells out frequently!

Bookstore and coffee shop.
Love this little place. The coconut crunch coffee is yummy as well as the specialized cold and hot drinks. I enjoy the book reviews around the store and always pick up a couple things to support this lovely place!

I found out too late about the surf fishing clinic last year. I had stopped by on the way out of town. This year I booked a surf fishing clinic with Mark as soon as we got on the island. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about surf fishing. He started the clinic before we ever got down on the beach. Standing on top of the steps, he pointed out the different breaks and contours explaining what we were seeing and where to fish. He did not disappoint. While we caught A lot of small fish, we did catch a mess of spot, sand mullet and pompano. It was enough for A good sized meal for the crew back at the house. Do your self a favor and take a clinic, they’re extremely affordable and very informative. Thanks Mark!

We are your Outer Banks rental center. We rent bikes, kayaks, paddle-boards and everything to make your vacation FUN! In 2017 we began renting Street-legal Golf Cart LSV's; there is no better place to explore by bike or golf cart than the town of Duck. With delivery to your door, we can help get your vacay started. OAR is open year-round to serve you and your family. Beach chairs, umbrellas, Linen, even baby cribs and over 85 items to make your vacation great!
Ocean Atlantics rentals made delivery and pick up so easy. We rented four beach cruisers which allowed our teenaged boys to explore and have freedom. Two of the bikes needed to be replaced because of flat tires so I called from the beach and within five minutes, OA had come to the house and taken care of the problem. Very courteous and efficient.
