After travelling in Central and South America for almost 3 months and almost no knowledge in Spanish. I decided to stay in Sucre for longer and to take Spanish lessons. I started as a total beginner, I knew just a few words, which I picked up during my travels. I was lucky enough to have the amazing Shirley. She is a every good and patient teacher. She speaks English, so she can help if you don't understand an explanation. But still most of the lessons we spoke Spanish. However we had a lot of fun and visited a few places (restaurants and sightseeing). At first I only wanted to stay for 3 weeks, but because i liked the language school and the city so much, I stayed 3 more weeks. In those 6 weeks I learned a lot, I can now speak Spanish in an advanced level. And I also call Shirley a good friend of mine. Thank you very much for everything!

We did 5 days of private class at Me Gusta to refresh our Spanish. We really learned a lot in those 5 days! Both our teachers Annie and Mariano were great, they adjusted the classes to our level and gave us new input to improve our spanish. We also got great materials to practice at home. The only negative thing was that there was no coffee :) We would definitely recommend this school!

Today I read Pablo Neruda's Pido Silencio in Spanish and understood it, and for this I have to thank my wonderful teacher Fabiola. I spent 4 weeks at Sucre Spanish School and I highly recommend it for learning spanish. Bettina, Claudia and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My teacher Fabiola is so knowledgeable and made learning accessible, fun and engaging. We talked in Spanish the whole time and I learnt a lot about life in Bolivia as well as Spanish grammar and words. I am so glad I studied at Sucre Spanish School, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. It was the perfect learning experience.

Moi is a wonderful teacher - patient, firm, professional, clear and obviously loves cooking and great food. The fact that he could adjust the dish to a gluten-free, vegetarian version was much appreciated, and having my husband come join in afterwards for dinner (at no extra cost) was particularly gracious of him. The facility is also great: spotlessly clean, very well-organised and top-notch appliances in the kitchen...this is professional from start to finish, and well worth the very reasonable price-tag. Highly recommended!

This great plaza is centrally located amidst the historical buildings that constitute a capital of this fantastic country! It is extremely popular and occasionally throngs with people, almost to the point that one has seek an alternate path through. It is an excellent point of reference for directions, especially since I was overnighting at the close by Colors House Hostel. The sculptures/architecture reflect the storied history of beautiful Bolivia, as well as being magnets for contemporary civic discourse. If it’s happening & important, it’s likely that it’s attached to this important public space. There is always snacks & drinks available here, from kiosks or the seemingly always-present TIAs selling from park benches. I was quite pleased with them as last night (09MAR) there was a showing of “el Diablo del Mineros”, and I provided popcorn for all viewers because I was able to Gimprush to the plaza and buy several bags! It certainly gets my enthusiastic “iWheel of Approval!”
