The 47 kilometre (29 mile) Elora Cataract Trailway links the Grand and Credit watersheds and follows the old Canadian Pacific railroad bed. It runs through rolling countryside east of Elora, through the historic community of Fergus and past Belwood Lake to the Forks of Credit Provincial Park at Cataract. The Grand River Conservation Authority and the Credit Valley Conservation Authority own the trail.
Normally too crowded and too warm in the summer, the fall foliage makes the bike trip great in the fall, and certainly less boring. An easy trail, well maintained and easy to do with any bike. Limited attractions on the course

The town of Elora is charming and has its own beauty. From the walk at the main street, then walking around the town - time can go by quickly or slowly depends on the way you want to look at it. The Elora gorge falls, the new pedestrian bridge, the shopping spots, eating spots all work wonders. The sculptures in the center of downtown in the small garden area is also beautiful and adds to the towns charm. Definite visit if you want to have a relaxed outing for a day.

Elora Gorge is a nice place to visit. We went for a day trip, we went for all three trails, it’s amazing to see natural formations, very nice view of Gorge from top. Will do river tubing for sure next time, this time we were not prepared n didn’t have swimsuits with us. It has a nice splash pad n picnic area to enjoy.

Elora gorge usually gets the majority of the tourists and it’s beautiful, and fun.. but it’s cousin, elora quarry is a beautiful conservation area as well, with a beach and swimming in the quarry!! Imagine 100 foot cliffs on three sides of you, gorgeous. Usually the water is a gorgeous blue but it’s rained for days for it was a mid cloudy which is expected . The walk to the beach is five minutes and nice. The beach itself probably holds 300 people even though they say max capacity is 1300.. so get there early for a prime spot. Water is usually nice, it was a bit cool when we went after the rain which is expected . Washrooms and changerooms are essentially one room outhouses, warning you now!!! Good swimming , with a nice beach!! With absolutely gorgeous views in the old quarry! There is a reason the park is used in movies!!!

We went to the restaurant at Grand Valley raceway on Saturday night for our 45th anniversary. THe buffet was 9.99 each and the food was excellent. We heard that one had to wait for 2 hours-we arrived at 4 pm and were seated at 4:45. We did have to ask the waitress for water=she had not come to our table at all. THe buffet consisted of rolls, cabbage slaw, lettuce salad, roasted potatoes. cooked vegetables, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, prime rib and lobster tail Someone told the waitress that is was our anniversary and the waitress gave us a piece of complimentary pie a lovely meal for the price
