Aruba is the quintessential Caribbean island, all sun and sea and stretches of powdery white sand. Time will slow to a pleasant crawl as you linger over a tropical cocktail or flutter serenely underwater, where only the parrotfish are in a hurry. The pastel façades of Oranjestad landmarks and shops lend an inviting and playful vibe to the capital city. Enjoy the shade of an Eagle Beach divi tree while the crashing waves of turquoise water create a soothing soundtrack just for you.

Looking for adventure? Climb Hooiberg, Aruba's famous mountain located at the center of the island, with a view from its 541-foot peak that extends as far as Venezuela on a clear day.
This is a great workout if you're looking for one. It's not too difficult. I was fine wearing sandals. Go early when it's cooler and bring water

The Antilla, which was a German freighter sunk during World War II, is Aruba's most popular dive site.
Great history and great dive masters with Aruba Watersports. Alan and Mike were a great team and lead the dive extremely well.

Who would have thought that these two caves, renowned in folklore as the site where two lovers burst through rock and into heaven, would be so dark, damp, gritty and full of bats?
One of the parks other highlights include the Quadirikiri Cavern where you walk through two large chambers (minding the occasional flying bat) to an opening in the cavern ceiling allowing light in.

Known for ideal snorkeling and scuba diving, the water at this beach is so clear that even snorkelers can make out the 400-foot SS Antilla shipwreck from the surface.
We stayed at a vrbo right across the street. Had no idea how lucky we were til we arrived. Could walk across the street and snorkel, fish or swim. And watch a beautiful sunset every night!

This quiet and secluded beach is known not only for its excellent snorkeling but a variety of water activities including windsurfing, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, swimming and sailing.
We had a chance to see several beaches in Aruba and this was our favorite. PERFECT. The water was crystal clear with beautiful white sandy beach and was uncrowded. It is located at the north end of the island and just a short distance from the California Lighthouse. The beach offers free to use of the palm branch Tiki huts (also known as palapa's) on a first come basis. You can also pay to rent nice sun lounger for $5 and an umbrella for about $10 near the snack shack and includes a free restroom/change visit and rinsing shower. BOTTOM LINE: We had a fun time here soaking in the sun. The water was warm with only mild swells. The area is windy but not distracting. Parking is free. The snack shack was nice for a cool drink and hanging out. We did not try the food. There were no pestering hawkers or shops which was nice. A great spot to kick back, swim and relax. PARADISE! A family friendly beach. MY RATING: 10/10. We did not try to snorkel here so I can't comment on it.

A section of a seven-mile-stretch of beach that offers excellent swimming conditions due to calm water.
Really good beach with amenities 5 min or less bus ride from downtown. White sand, clear water, not crowded. You can rent chairs to the hotels in the area.

An impressive strand of white powder, this quiet spot on the southwestern tip of Aruba is ideal for a leisure day at the beach.
This is the 3rd time we have been to this resort in the low rise area. If you are looking for peace and quiet, views to die for and excellent food, this is your place. Above all that, the staff is wonderful. They never disappoint, service second to none. I will return on our next trip to Aruba. Thank you to the Manchebo staff from Tim and (shellfish) Dawn!

A "conchi" or swimmable pool nestled amidst massive rocks on the northeast coast of Aruba.
Be careful getting in, but once in just relax and enjoy the site. It is amazing to see this natural wonder and realize that there are fish, crabs and other sea creatures enjoying this area just as much as you. This is something that should not be missed!!
