If you leave Santorini and haven't had lunch here you really missed out on probably the best greek traditional kitchen. There are only a few courses on the menu which is usually a sign of the quality offered and Faros Market fits this stereotype perfectly. You can feel a connection to what you eat since everything they offer comes from their own garden like tomatoes, capers, olives and the goat cheese as they wander around in viewing distance from the terrasse with a beautiful oceanview. It is close to the lighthouse so if you plan on watching the sunset from there stop by and have a try of their local vine and food - you will not be dissapointed????

EXPERIENCE HORSE RIDING operates in Akrotiri village since 1997 and offers riding enthusiasts the opportunity to experience Santorini through specific suggested routes, riding horses safely on our farm. The riding club EXPERIENCE HORSE RIDING is a family business. The owners are two brothers who with love and respect for horses created their own farm in the village of Akrotiri.
We had a fantastic two hour ride which took us through vineyards and incredible volcanic cliffs down to the beach where we rode along the edge of the shore. Our guide Yana could not have been more friendly and informative about horses and the local area. She also took some great photos and videos to help us remember the experience. My daughter and I had a great time. Cheers, Yana!

The cove right next to the Red beach, on the southern side of Santorini, is known as the White beach. It is very similar to the Red beach, with black pebbles on the shore, only that the surrounding cliffs are white. This beach is accessible only by boat or on foot from the Red beach.
True whit beach is accessible only by water. Amazing spot for sunbathing, snorkeling and escaping busy streets and beaches of Santorini ????????????

This ancient city was covered in a heap of volcanic ash in the late 17th century B.C., preserving it for present-day archaeologists and interested tourists. The site is so well preserved that it is often referred to as the Pompeii of the Aegean.
This was very worth the visit. I had to coerce my children aged 21, 19 and 14 to visit with me, guaranteeing them we’d only spend one hour. They all agreed afterwards it was really worth the visit and they were glad they went. It is huge and impressive. The village is very clear in parts, with storage areas still full of pots and staircases, door thresholds and corridors all very well preserved. Much more complete than other sites we’ve seen. Interesting, fascinating, lots to see and no extensive use of your imagination to see whole buildings and areas. 100% recommend. The ancient history of Santorini being the rim of a huge crater of a volcano that erupted, changing the modern world as we know it, is fascinating. I’m just a normal tourist, no expert in antiquities but found this well worth it and I highly recommend it.

It is worth the drive! My cousin and I just notice the light house at the end of the island and decided to go search for it!

Not much of beach, but felt I had to review it as the snorkeling here is out of this world, so much that I returned the following day. Being next to the diving school, I thought it would be a good place to snorkel, but I didn't expect to feel like I was inside an aquarium. Deep- very deep, blue sea and penetrating sunlight made this a magical experience, easily accessible just before the entrance to Akrotiri village, via a steep dusty track.

Red beach Santorini: The red beach is one of the most famous and beautiful of the beaches of Santorini. It is located near the village and ancient site of Akrotiri.
Although we have visited it at the end of October and couldn’t have a bath (some people were still swimming), it is a beautiful beach with a panoramic view, so you should visit it while in Santorini.
