The bridge made by the Riga company Felser & Co in 1879 was erected amid the castle hills in Viljandi in 1931. It was a present by the lord of the Tarvastu Manor Karl von Mensenkampf.Interesting to know:*The bridge is over 50 m long.* It was erected over a valley which is 15 m deep.* At first, the bridge was located over the moat in Tarvastu to make it easier for the family of the lord to visit the chapel in the ruins. The rope bridge has become a favourite object of both citizens and visitors of Viljandi and one of the town’s important symbols. It was reconstructed in 1995.
Cute little bridge to observe nature and swing a little, if that is your thing. Nothing interesting on the other side, the bridge itself is fun for a quick stop

When you walk to Toomemägi (Toome Hill) in Tartu, you will certainly notice the Inglisild, which was built in 1838 based on the design by architect J. W. Krause. There is a bar relief of G. Fr. Parrot, the first rector of the University of Tartu which was reopened in 1802, with the writing 'Otium reficit vires' (rest restores strength) on the bridge. Interesting facts: the name of the bridge probably comes from the name 'English bridge' as the park was established in the English style. Several legends are associated with the bridge. For example, it is said that when you hold your breath while running over the bridge, your wish will come true.

The Freedom Bridge is a bridge over the Emajogi River in the centre of Tartu. It connects Lai tanav with Vene tanav. The current bridge, with a slab of reinforced concrete and an arch of steel, was opened on 30 July 2009. The bridge is 90 m long and 13.35 m wide. In the dark, the bridge is illuminated. A lot of eye-catching street art can be found on the concrete surfaces of the lower part of the bridge. As the location of the bridge has high banks and a narrow riverbed, the site was used for river crossing as early as in ancient times. It is not known exactly how many bridges there have been before the current Freedom Bridge.
