The political, scientific, historical, architectural and business center of Russia, Moscow displays the country's contrasts at their most extreme. The ancient and modern are juxtaposed side by side in this city of 10 million. Catch a metro from one of the ornate stations to see Red Square, the Kremlin, the nine domes of St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, the KGB Museum and other symbols of Moscow's great and terrible past, then lighten up and shop Boulevard Ring or people watch in Pushkin Square.

Exiting the Kremlin in direction of the Moscow river I must admit this bridge looks fantastic the lead lights Below make it looks fantastic and the ornaments celebrating Christmas on top make it look very elegant just like many of the Kremlin buildings look this time of the year. If you have enough time head towards the savior church and visit the pedestrians only Patriarshy Bridge for a complete Christmas decoration visit.

Would recommend for the views of the city and the nice walk through the surrounding park. This is all close to red square and serves as a nice addition to a visit to the area.
