Whether you’re exploring Vermont’s covered bridges, visiting Quechee Gorge or skiing at Killington, you’ll find Vermont to be picture-perfect. If you’re the outdoorsy type, you’ll love Vermont. In winter, of course, there’s plenty of skiing and snowboarding. In the warmer months, however, Vermont offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing and boating. If you enjoy boating, swimming and fishing, a vacation rental on Lake Champlain might be perfect for you.

1st Republic Brewing Company is a Veteran owned microbrewery in Essex Junction, VT. We brew a great variety of beers for everyone to enjoy. Stop on by for a flight or pint. Cheers!
Every beer I tasted was delicious! I have a new favorite that is very local to me! Also, everyone I have met at the brewery is friendly and fun to chat with!

Vermont brewery known for its hand-made beer.
Great stop when you are in the Morrisville/Stowe area to sample great ale and beer on tap. Great IPAs Stouts and something creative is always available. Check out the are gallery there too.Local artists display their creations and they are for sale. It’s a great way to take home something from VT that is a little more permanent than the ale!

NOTE: As of March 16th, Otter Creek Brewing will be closed in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Please check our social media channels for updates related to re-opening. In 2015 we broke ground on a brand new, 120-barrel brew house. This state-of-the-art facility will expand our capacity and allow us to deliver more of our deliciously dank beers to bottles, cans and kegs everywhere. On the heels of upgrades to our packaging and production facilities, our brand new, mid-century inspired digs reflect the commitment we've made to our brand and the collective creative juices that keep our brewery running. We invite you to join us on our cosmic journey of craft, with live music every Friday evening and a fresh American BBQ-inspired menu from our smoker to pair with delicious Vermont beers. Note: At this time we do not offer tours at our facility.
My better half and I were in VT for our 10th anniversary in October. I love beer and we enjoy stopping at local breweries. We hit OCB on our first afternoon. It is an awesome place. Of course, they have great beer, but the staff (especially Ben) really put the experience over the top. We were not hungry at the time we arrived so I cannot comment on the food. However, everything we saw others eating looked good. The beer, as I said was awesome. I am an IPA drinker and was not disappointed. The Berner hit all my IPA buttons. The hoppier the better for me and it had that, but also had great haziness and finished with nice citrus hints. My wife did a flight initially. She really liked a peanut butter flavored concoction (the name escapes me) and ordered a full glass of that. Ben was our server and in between keeping us entertained with an excellent dry humor, he gave her a mix of the peanut butter beer and the Shed Chocolate Milk Stout. Well, that did it for her and she had that next. We spent a couple of hours enjoying the good brews and company. All of the staff was friendly and made us feel so welcome. We had such a great time, we went back on Friday. There was live entertainment (thanks for the Neil Young) and again, a great atmosphere. I will be looking for OCB the next time I am in VT and you should too. Thanks OCB!

Magic Hat is one of our top 5 breweries to visit. They always have a great line up on tap and it is nice to be able to do a self guided tour to see how the brewery operates.

Stop in for a sandwich, a burger, a beer, a big fat breast pretzel and a brewery tour. You can also shop for some Harpoon gear. Very nice outdoor area to sit and eat or just take a break from driving. There’s also some other retailers in the immediate area for shopping. It’s a stop worth making.

Hey, this is a beer mecca. You don't come here to be served, you come here to taste extraordinary brews; and some are quite expensive. We arrived on a Saturday around noon and the place was busy. In short order, it was packed with long lines for glasses of beer or growlers We found a table with four people and two empty seats and asked if we could sit there. The four were two couples that didn't know each other. One was from Virginia, and the other from Connecticut. Both made special trips to this brewery as it was named the best brewery in the U.S. a year or two ago. It turned out that all three of us guys had gone to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but that's getting away from the topic, isn't it? The one guy from Connecticut makes regular trips just to visit this brewery and he was buying the very expensive brew ($33/bottle and even higher.) He let us sample some of the amazing brews. If you are a true beer connoisseur, put this one on your list for a visit, but expect long waits and a crowd of people eager to sample some of the best brews in the U.S.
