Lancaster Brewing Company

We cook like we brew...craftsmanship and quality in every detail. From our housemade sausage and cured meats, to locally made cheeses, fresh dough, on-site garden, hand-cut fries and signature burger grind, there's no substitute for fresh, natural ingredients. Fortunate to be located in the heart of Lancaster County, among some of the richest farmland in the world, we're committed to fresh, local and sustainably grown products. Our menu changes often to take advantage of the seasons, and to utilize the fresh produce, dairy, poultry, cheeses and meats produced on the 5,300+ independent, family farms in Lancaster County. Our obsession for brewing great beer is matched by our passion for great, natural food, so we source our produce and meats from local Lancaster County farmers and prepare virtually everything on our menus from scratch. We smoke our pork, grind our sausage and hand-cut our fries.

For our second visit we shared a flight of 6 beers, the short rib nachos, Bavarian pretzel and a mushroom pizza. Everything was fantastic and we even got some Double Chocolate Milk Stout to go. We love it here.

Stopped on into the brewery on the way back from Gettysburg on rainy Sunday afternoon and decided to try some beer. I had 3 flights of 4 beers ( 5 Oz pours) and I enjoyed all but 3 of them , the staff was friendly and helpful, we had the bacon wrapped mozzarella and pepperoni it was delicious and so was the beer! We were the last to leave and the guys didn't push us out at closing time, looking forward to stopping In again soon.

My wife and I stopped in for a beer and mid afternoon snack last Saturday and were again very happy with both their beer and food! They probably have at least 20 of their beers on tap which makes it difficult to make a choice! Their pizzas are fantastic and they offer many different varieties.

Wacker Brewing Company

Established in 1853. In the lead up to Prohibition, Lancaster city was known as the "Munich of the United States." During this time, the Wacker "Little Dutch" and "Old Bohemian" beers became synonymous with quality, local brew. Of the Big Four city breweries to go into Prohibition, Wacker was the only one to emerge but was no longer able to compete with the huge breweries in St. Louis and Milwaukee, Wacker Brewing Company closed in 1956. When the last of the beer in storage tanks was drained into the sewer, a unique chapter in Lancaster County's history came to a close. In 2014, Wacker Brewing Company was brought back to life by the great grandson of one of the original brewery's workers. We're focused on perfecting our craft and supplying Lancaster County with amazing "old style" beer. Stop by the brewery to get a growler fill or drop in to one of the local establishments serving our beer on tap. We're eager to hear what you think; after all, Wacker is "the beer you always loved!" free parking lot located across the street..

Rumspringa Brewing Company

My wife and I visited and even though the restrictions in place keep them from providing tasting, we were there for about an hour. Sophia suggested several combinations that would be great to try, so we got a growler (there was no charge for their growlers because of the restrictions- only the fill $10) of amber ale and blueberry cider. Sophia impressed us so much that we returned the next day because it was her birthday with a small gift to help her celebrate.

We had gone to the Mount Hope Mansion during their Open House and wanted to sit down and relax. They have a bar and tables and booths. We sampled several types of beer and then sat down and enjoyed our beer and specialty fries which were both delicious. Staff were friendly. It was surprisingly quiet. Only odd thing was there was no rest room in the building, we had to go to the next building to use the rest room. Since these building are all related it was no problem, just a surprise. Prices were very reasonable.
