10 Breweries in New Hampshire That You Shouldn't Miss

October 20, 2021 Roger Rusk

If you are looking for diversity, you will certainly find it in New Hampshire. From lakes to beaches, waterfalls to woods and mountains to sea coast, the state has huge potential for outdoor vacations, including downhill or cross-country skiing in winter. With no less than seventy-five state parks that offer natural areas, hiking trails, beaches and historic sites, New Hampshire caters for a variety of tastes. Crawford Notch State Park in Harts Location has picturesque waterfalls, wonderful mountain views and opportunities for viewing wildlife. You can go hiking and fishing there as well as pay a visit to the historic Willey House. Monadnock State Park, unlike some other state parks, is open all year round for hiking. Want to go swimming? You will find five state park beaches along the coast of New Hampshire, such as Wallis Sands with its view of the rocky Isles of Shoals. On North Hampton State Beach and Jenness Beach you can have a picnic as well as a swim. When you've finally had your fill of fresh air, head for the Museum of New Hampshire History in Concord with exhibits focusing on heritage and traditions; children should enjoy them just as much as adults.

This place is fantastic, reminds me of one my local pubs in my native England. Steve is a super nice guy and he knows his stuff, I could drink his Immense Intense Phat Alpha IPA all day it’s delicious. It would be nice if the silly NH laws would just let him sell a friggin pint, if you’re flying solo you can buy a flight of four beers but NH law says you can’t have two beers of the same kind in the same flight, someone got paid a lot of money for making these silly rules. Anyhow now that we’ve found this place we will be back at some point as we just purchased property not too far away.

Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tours

We really enjoyed this tour. The tour of the brewery itself went quickly and wasn't particularly interesting though we did learn about the history of Anheuser-Busch company and enjoy walking through their facilities briefly. Then we went to the tasting room and waited in a line and were given a choice of 10-12 beers (many were specialty beers, similar to a craft beer experience, and not just a lineup of basic products most consumers would associate with this brand). We enjoyed sipping our beers and then made our way out to the gift shop. We enjoyed the gift shop a lot with a variety of gifts for lots of people in your life as well as souvenirs to take home from your experience. Finally we visited the clydesdale horses. We had seen some of them all hooked up to a carriage pulling a couple employees around when we arrived. They are so big and beautiful. We've seen them in parades before but today we got to see them up close, pulling a carriage, being washed and groomed, munching hay in their personalized stalls, and socializing together in the field. It was a really nice day and we enjoyed looking around for a couple hours as a pit stop on a road trip. Free tour Free parking

We were able to stop in one late afternoon on our recent trip and taste their great brews. Great staff and lots of outdoor space to sit and enjoy a cold beer with a hot pretzel. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Looking for something different to do, we decided to try making our own champagne at IncrediBREW. Erik was extremely helpful in helping us decide which wine to make into champagne and explaining the process involved. After sampling a few different wines, we finally decided on one. We mixed up the batch and have to wait six weeks for fermentation and filtering. Then we get to bottle and label them. We are looking forward to that. If you are looking for something fun to do, I highly recommend making your own beer, soda or wine at IncrediBREW.

I used to live in town and on a recent trip back we found the brewery and we are so glad we did. They had a lot of interesting beers to chose from. A fun open environment to hang out and enjoy some time with friends. They even had some table games to help pass the time while your enjoying the local tastes. They also serve the beer flights in a muffin tin which is super fun and creative.
