This small beach is located on the Southeastern part of Capri, next to and way below the Giardini di Augusto. The surrounding cliffs protect it from the wind and the view of the Faraglioni provides a spectacular surrounding. The water is warm most of the year and unless you run into a storm, quite calm. This is a great place to spend a few hours, soaking up the sun and the surrounding beauty.

Worth a day visit. We walked from Sorrento ( 1 hour each way) which was good exercise rewarded by a day at this relaxing quiet beach with clean water and few tourists, which is why we came. Incidentally everything here is less expensive than Sorrento which is an added bonus but not a reason to visit in of itself.

This is a hidden gem. We visited twice, once through Negombo, and once on the public beach. The beach was so nice it made no sense to leave it and visit the fake thermal pools at Negombo. A thermal stream vents into this beach water so it is warm and clear. Clear enough to collect dentalium and shells, and I even found a bit of ancient pottery well worn by the gentle waves. Very safe for kids to swim as it is shallow even far out. Yachts bring swimmers and snorkelers here too. Bring food, an umbrella for shade, and a towel or chair and make use of the snack bar on the public side. Don't wait too late as they sell out of food. Be prepared for no toilet seats (even at Negombo) and confusion as you must order everything from a small window, then proceed to the larger one for pick up...even for water. Better than Australian beaches as there are no flies!
