Legendary Somerset pub Tuckers Grave Inn, was built in the mid 17th Century near the burial site of its namesake Edward Tucker This historical pub has remained unchanged since WW1, and is on the 'National Inventory of Historic Interiors' Tuckers has a truly unique & authentic feel as well as being only one of 6 or so pubs like this left in the UK without an actual bar.. The campsite is a nifty two minute stroll from the pub and is spread out in a gorgeous countryside setting, ideal for city dwellers looking for a rural experience. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a well earned pint
As always a fabulous trip at a fabulous location with fabulous people. Thank you Jo and team you are doing a great job with tough new rules. The toilets, on the actual campsite, albeit, only portaloos are absolutely spotless and a credit to your cleaning crew. Fully stocked with every anti bacterial wipe and spray you would ever need. Better than some toilet blocks I’ve seen in other places! Cider is great, pub is great, staff are great and overall a 5 ********** place to stay. Only sad thing, we are missing the music but fully understand under current circumstances this cannot be but fingers crossed ???? it will be back soon. Thank you Jo and gang XX

I've been on multiple trips lead by Tom and Hugo and have had an absolute blast every time. Genuinely couldn't recommend Trail Unknown enough to anyone, from those just looking to get into mountain biking all the way to highly experienced mountain bikers! 5* experience!

Just completed the Coast to Coast Trail and what a great ride. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope the below helps anyone thinking of doing the ride.... Route: Portreath - Devoran - Portreath Recommend starting at Portreath. Difficulty: Easy/moderate trail. Mountain bike rather than hybrid. Time/distance: Approx 2hrs each way, 19km/11miles. Bike Hire: We used Coastal Trail Cycle Hire. Good quality bikes and James will deliver them to Portreath for your ride and collect again. Food: We enjoyed a great lunch at the Old Quay Inn in Devoran. Parking: As you enter Portreath there is free parking on the left hand side. Arrive early to get a spot.

Walked from Bridgewater out to the boat and anchor pub which was just short of two miles. It's a lovely peaceful walk with good terrain. Not busy at all, canal looks a bit neglected in parts but still beautiful for the most part.

The Tarka Trail is a pedestrian and cycle way within the North Devon Biosphere Reserve. This page is for the 48km, shared-use section between Braunton and Meeth which runs along the line of an old railway. It is part of the National Cycle Network and totally traffic free. Along this stretch, interpretation boards and other information help you discover the heritage, culture and natural features you can see. Horses are also welcome between Torrington (Servis bridleway) and Meeth. Further detailed information, including maps can be found in the Tarka Trail Guide available online from the website and in local bookshops, museums and Tourist Information Centres.
We hired bikes from Barnstaple station and cycled to bideford with a lunch stop at Instow. We had a fantastic time, lovely scenery and lots of things to look at along the way. instow was a lovely place we had a nice lunch there at the boat house. Fremington was nice too there is a nice cafe in the old railway station where we stopped for tea and cake on way back and a kids pirate ship play area which my nephew would have loved as he’s mad on pirates! Can’t wait to cycle more of the trail starting at the other end next time.
