We rented two e bikes for a day out and loved the bikes and the service so much that we came back and rented them again for the weekend! The guys were great and even leant us a bike back pack! They also gave us a map and showed us lots of routes, the cycle along the river was lovely. Really great tips! I would totally recommend, the bikes were excellent. Make sure to go for the e bikes to help you get up the hill from the beach :-) Looking forward to our next trip to Vejer to rent the bike again and do some more exploring! Thanks for everything, really made our trip! James

The owner of our holiday apartment recommended Alpujarra Bikes; excellent advice. After discovering that the highest point on the Iberian peninsula was just behind where I was staying, I thought, "Mountain Bike". Brian and Lynn advised on routes (plus some extra singletrack I might be interested in) and rented me a full-sus (Mondraker Dune) bike for the day. A number of hours later I had taken many photos and reached the highest point allowed on a bike by the Park Authority (3100m). Then came the return... 27km of downhill... enough to put a big smile on anyone's face. I won't be forgetting that one; thankyou Brian & Lynn.

Senda Litoral de Estepona

Reviewed By Turista-Inglesa - Estepona, Spain

It keeps growing and growing! There is now a stretch just over 10 km long from the marina in Estepona town, along the seafront promenade, along the boardwalk to the Playa del Angel outdoor statue museum, round past the old aqueduct and water wheel, past Alcazaba Beach, along the posh section by the Kempinski Hotel, past the (sadly fire damaged) Laguna Village, and on and on and on for another mile or so to Hacienda Beach. In the opposite direction it is also extending. Annoyingly, there is a gap between the Marina and the next bit of the Coastal Path by Doncella Beach. It is walkable, but the first few hundred yards are through a rough carpark, and the next few hundred yards are over the sand at the back of the Playa del Cristo. No problem at all, and a good place to stop in a chiringuito, but it will be great when the real Path is in place! It then turns lovely again, I guess that, as in the nicest parts in the other direction, the builders have been obliged to pay for the path to gain their planning permission. It goes past some very nice luxury apartments (Doncella Beach and Les Rivages), past the H10 Estepona Palace Hotel (look at their lovely pools!), over a wooden footbridge and round past some more attractive apartment resorts. Eventually it will reach Sabinillas.

Via Verde de la Sierra

Reviewed By JenS57 - Montellano, Spain

The Via Verde De La Sierra is a very nice hiking- and walking path, build upon an old (unused) railway track. The track is easy to do as it hardly has any steep slopes. The views on the river Guadalete are spectacular as the trail winds through the mountains. Along the (very well maintained) track there are resting areas, the track also leads through tunnels (the long ones are even lighted to make passage safe). So far we 'only' did part of the track from Puerto Serrano (where there is a station with restaurant and houses to rent) towards Coripe, we do intend to expand towards the other part(s).
