The mountain bike trail starts at Mount Bandilaan, the highest point in Siquior (620m) and winds its way down to the coast to Maite village in San Juan province. The total distance of the trail is 26km but there are several options to break the journey depending upon ability. The Baha Bar support staff will drive you to the start of the trail in a 'pick-up' with the bikes and then an experienced guide will lead you down. The trail starts in a national forest and then passes through small mountain villages and remote footpaths, passing through rice fields and over small foot bridges. 70% of the trail is off road and is in parts technical, the remainder passes through small villages where it is possible to stop for a cold drink. Baha Ba'r has 8 high end relatively new mountain bikes (Norco / Giant) and protective knee, elbow pad and helmets that are included in the rental fee. Dave Watson (he's the guy who jumped over the Tour de France peleton a couple of years ago!!...) has ridden the trail and donated one of his old sponsored bikes for usage.
