We stayed here recently and were very comfortable. For people traveling with a car and a dog, this place is perfect. It is also secure. It is a 10 minute walk to the center of this fabulous city. Zacatecas is a city that makes you feel welcome, cars stop so you can cross the street, people talk to you as if you are an old friend, courtesy is a way of life. I loved it, can't wait to go back and stay at Hotel Colon!

I ate at the hotel restaurant during my day trip to Jerez. Cheerful atmosphere, great location right on the plaza, friendly service, excellent prices. Based on another review I ordered the limonada mineral and camarones a la cantera rosa and they were both fantastic. The meal included housemade totopos and three delicious salsas.

I had to move to this posada for three days, because El Refugio de Don Carlos, the lovely place I had stayed at, was fully booked for those three days. Only steps away, this hotel was scary, nothing less. The floors are not straight. The keys on the doors of the rooms could be picked with a hairpin. The only refrigerator available is for medicine. What about individuals with a special diet? All the rugs are filthy. So was my bedspread. The pillow was stuffed with something akin to straw, or something else unpleasant. Many, but not really all the people staying there, are ones you would wish to avoid. And it was leaving this hotel that I was robbed. Maybe a coincidence, and maybe not. But for all the other reasons, just make sure you find a suite in time at the clean and wonderful Refugio, unless you want to go fancy. There are great fancy hotels, including a converted torreros amphitheater.

Están muy bien las instalaciones. Solo deberían de aceptar tarjetas bancarias y agua en las habitaciones. Vale mucho la pena. Recomendadisimo. También podrían poner algo de ventilación en temporada de calor.

For 3 months they just make us feel as home, every day arriving from a hard work day they always were expecting us ready to offer dinner or a hot or cold drink. The bedrooms are big and comfortable beds, very clean and quite place. They don't have a parking lot but they offer you a space in a close and secure parking just 3 blocks from them. They have a great mexican cuisine it is really delicious. They have some events some times, we attended a book presentation and it was great, after the presentation they served delicious appetizers and a very good drink. There is a lot of places and things to do around Fresnillo. Don't hesitate staying with them.

Casa del Gobernador Hotel Petite Suite is an amazing colonial boutique Hotel with 15 rooms, business center, free parking, free wi fi internet and free continental breakfast. My wife and I stopped here during our drive back to Canada from Puerto Vallarta ... we picked it primarily because it was dog friendly. We were disappointed with the accommodation as it didn’t have hot water and when I went to the front desk after dinner we found the clerk asleep on the lobby couch! We were both tired and opted to just go to bed and have a shower in the morning ... still no hot water the next morning! I would describe the overall state of the room as tired and in need of upgrade shower head was covered in calcium and leaking at the fitting to the pipe, virtually no water coming out of the sink faucet and the ceiling plaster was falling off ... we stayed in room #8 should management wish to confirm my claims.
