Perfect service and room quality, cute staff and good placement have made our journey really exciting. First of all the hotel gave me & my bride Family room instead of Standard — pretty large & comfortable one. After that we were asked about our preferences for the breakfast, and that was another surprise: everything we marked was cooked & warm at 9:00 a.m., just in time we mentioned for the breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable, the same is about the kitchen: I'm sure, mini-hotels have their own benefits, and the cosiness is probably the one of them. Everyday the room was cleaned, towels & bathrobes — changed, we were provided with toothbrushes, shampoos, shoe brushes and so on, even with an umbrella, when the weather was cloudy. So the hotel made a good impression about the whole trip, and that's the first time from more than 10 journeys over the last 3 years when I really want to recommend the hotel to the others.

Reviewed By vodkatrain_1001TripsThe boutique Hotel Don Quixote is really sweet. Lovely decorated and nice staff. Rooms are ok and breakfast is more Russian style, but enough. Only pity thing, no way to do a late checkout - not even 1-2hrs. Was not so pleasant for us!

Reviewed By EllaZ48We've visited this hotel on September 2018. The hotel is brand new, in the center of the city, close to restaurants and coffee shops, to the main street and Kremlin. The service in the hotel was very good, nice clean rooms, good breakfast! Absolutely will visit it again!

Tiny rooms but with a playful decor, nice staff
Reviewed By Vandana GWe booked for the world cup and there aren't too many options. The rooms are really tiny but they are clean and well decorated. The breakfast is at a time of your request and comes made for you at that time in the common kitchen. Don't expect the staff to speak English, use google translate.

Reviewed By JimGSDFor many of us over the age of 40 in the US, we grew up thinking that we would never get to see the Kremlin. We are glad that we got to see this iconic place, along with Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral, which are all in the same area. Behind the walls of the Kremlin, along with Soviet-era concrete buildings, there are a number of beautiful old churches from past centuries. The President’s home and office are here as well, although they are off-limits, of course. We are definitely glad that we checked the box and went behind the walls of the Kremlin.

Very cosy and convenient
Reviewed By UsaFrequentflyerWe stayed at Hotel Joy for 2 nights during the World Cup in June 2018, and were very impressed by this small hotel. This was probably the busiest and most stressful period that the city has seen, and yet the hotel staff were very welcoming and kind to all of their guests. We arrived very early in the morning and despite being at full capacity the night before, the hotel staff very quickly turned over a room for us as soon as one was free so that we were able to check in early - much appreciated after our overnight train to Nizhny. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and ours had a kettle, microwave and fridge. We slept very well - comfy beds, very little street noise and an excellent air conditioning unit. Breakfast, served in our room and pre-ordered the night before, was delicious with plenty of options for every preference. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the location was absolutely perfect - I don't think we could have found a better location in the Old Town! Only slight drawback was a complicated wifi system that isn't very friendly for foreigners (you need to receive a code by text to enable the hotel's wifi and the code never arrived to our non-Russian mobile phones), but the hotel staff helped us to work this out. We would be very happy to stay here again.

OK for a business stay

A bit too much hot water in the radiators and no way to turn it down, so despite being -6 outside it's probably the hottest hotel I've ever stayed in! The breakfast was good, with quite a wide choice. We left early on the Saturday (4.15am) and they put breakfast on for us. Most of the staff speak good English and are helpful.

If you ask them about it, they take your clothes to other place. Price is 1000Rub per 1 T-shirt. Some staff very lazy this also problem. スーパーロケーション。しかしランドリーサービスがないよ。寝てるスタッフが多いよ。朝食がないのも痛い。

Lovely Hotel
Reviewed By veroschiSergievskaya Hotel was a wonderful experience. Nizhny is an incredible city and staying at this hotel makes the whole difference. We felt so welcome, the rooms (suites) were incredibly big, complete and clean. The receptionists were so kind and welcoming. Walking distance (8 minutes) through a marvelous area to the city center. No doubt will stay there again if we have the chance to go back to Nizhny.
