Reviewed By rpalyvodaI spent two nights in Molitor in November 2021 travelling solo to discover my ancestors' roots in the beautiful city of Bamberg and in Frankonia. The hotel is perfect for discovering the old city - especially for short midnight walks when those old German cities are the best. The personnel was extremely kind and helpful, and the room was a terrific value for the price I paid. A room in a XIV century building with the charme of those old buildings but also with a perfect modern German bathroom and a comfortable bed. What else might a traveler ask for? Tip: the hotel is located just a few minutes away from the famous Bamberger brewery Schlenkerlа. This is really convenient after a few beers there ?

Reviewed By INKA97We had an average room on the second floor. The place was clean also the bathroom. The room was big enough. There is enough room in the wardrobe for two suitcases. Attention there is no lift. The service was good at front-desk. The best part for us was the continental breakfast. A large variety of bread, cereals and home-made marmelade.

Somewhat dated, but overall pleasant hotel.
Reviewed By jb-tbThis hotel is conveniently located in between the train station and the city centre. At night (Friday and Saturday) there was quite a bit of nightlife noise coming from outside, and also from people walking up the squeaking wooden stairs. The rooms looked dated, but were very spacious and comfortable. The shower area however, was unbelievably small. Friendly check-in and the breakfast (although a bit limited in choice because of the Corona measures) was fresh and of good quality.

If going to the Bayreuth Festspiele, they have a great setup that includes a ride to and from the Opera House, then a delicious meal afterwards, no matter how late the opera runs. Reviewed By el735Hotel located in old town Kronach. Just a nice place for a romantic evening, large room, comfy bed, bathroom with a tub and floor heating. In-house restaurant with about 15 craft beers, excellent IPA and Thüringer Bratwürstel.

Perfect for what I wanted
Reviewed By RobLaw47This is a no frills hotel without an front desk and no elevator. But it was quiet and my room was large and well appointed. The bathroom was just fine. The location could not have been better. What is not to like? For some people it is a bit of a rabbit warren - no long hallways with uniform rooms. The literature says there is a common area wash machine and dryer but I could not find it. It is in a pedestrian zone and the parking is a few hundred yards away. On the other hand, I ended up paying 2 Euros for the parking place. So I would stay here again. For what it is, it is excellent. It is NOT a 4, 3 or 2 star hotel.

After graduating from university in the morning, we asked to check-in after normal times in the evening (9:30pm), which wasn't a problem at all. Bar was unfortunately closed, but after 30 minutes our door was knocked and the host of the hotel brought us two beers to celebrate our stay. How awesome! Day after we got a maervelous breakfast in their renovated villa, with nice food and a piano to play :) After leaving the hotel we got a phone call from the hotel that we forgot something, and just in time we could return to pick it up. Topservice! Therefore I'd certainly recommend this hotel to visit! We'd do it again if we'll get nearby somewhere in future!

Wir wurden in allen Bereichen (Rezeption, Frühstück, Bar) immer sehr freundlich und herzlich empfangen. Unser Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon in einen Innenhof. Wer zum Schlafen Ruhe braucht sollte vielleicht ein anderes Zimmer wählen, das es im Innenhof stark hallt und laut sein kann. Bett war top, Ausstattung im Zimmer mit allem was man benötigt. Schönes Frühstück mit allem, was man zum Start in den Tag benötigt. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Nice, quiet house in a nice, quiet spa town
Reviewed By Mary WRoom was perfectly clean and well cared for. Breakfast buffet was very good - lots of fresh fruit, nicd assortment of breads, cheese, cold cuts. Beds were super. Room was very quiet. Slept like a dream . Town is very quiet. Kurpark is very pretty. Nice walks throught the grounds and the forest. Older clientel.
