What an absolute delight! Utterly charming hosts, Philip & Jeanette, made us immediately welcome, attending to our every need and ensuring our "Fantaisie Parisienne" was a truly memorable one. Indeed, we were additionally spoilt with an unexpected "extra" which put the icing on the cake for our wedding anniversary. Both icing & cake were delicious, by the way! Great imagination plus warm hospitality ensures 5 genuine stars from us and our thorough recommendation. P & J - You're welcome!

Victorian shooting lodge set in 70 peaceful acres of old Norman deer park, in the heart of the beautiful Gower Peninsula, South Wales, approached via a mile long drive through woodland. Ten ensuite bedrooms. Home-cooked evening meals.
First visit today for Sunday lunch. The house and grounds are very impressive. Beautifully manicured lawns & flower beds. We were warmly greeted & the customer care continued throughout the meal and it was a very pleasant experience. Food was home cooked, hot and very tasty. My Panna Cotta dessert was sublime. A very nice lunch in stunning surroundings. Going back In a few weeks for afternoon tea and I’m sure it’ll be just as enjoyable.

Recently opened after an extensive reservation program providing a pub, superb beer garden and popular a-la-carte restaurant. Friendly attentive staff, ample parking and a great atmosphere. We have a mix of single and double rooms with full English breakfast to get you started for the day ahead.
The rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need. We ate at the bar which was good quality pub food. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast the next morning was good and again friendly staff. Based on the room being clean, the size of the room, the quality of food and friendly staff, for the money we would stay here again.

This hotel is revolting. It is dirty, the mattresses are old and full of uncomfortable springs. The rooms and corridors resemble a prison. The breakfast list is a joke as only one thing on it was available, even though a whole host of foods are listed - it then arrives in a paper bag and the coffee in a plastic cup. The 'take away' breakfast is nothing to do with Covid - it is simply that the greedy owner does not want his cafe full of people from the hotel when they have already paid for breakfast. This place is the most unprofessional hotel I have seen or stayed in, in my life! Avoid and book a proper hotel!

The Kings Head is A four-star Country Inn with 27 rooms. All of our rooms are of a very high standard, with ensuite facilities and underfloor heating. Our rooms offer a host of features which we hope will make your stay most relaxing. The Kings Head was rated in the top ten summer pubs in Britain by the Sunday Times Magazine, 2006. & recommended in Which holiday magazine.
Rooms are spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean (but not too keen on stone floor). Good choice at breakfast and food was delicious. Friendly and efficient staff. Booking for evening meal is a must as very busy, even though there are plenty of tables.

I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough. As the reviews say it’s like marmite…. If you are after the ‘ Marriott bland 5 star experience’ this is not for you…. If you are after something unique and different then you will love this. Tim was the most wonderful unique interesting character and honestly made our break… we love music, we were there for an outdoor concert and to get the opportunity not only to stay in this very bespoke quirky Alliadins cave but to converse with this fascinating, well educated and special character just made our break - he couldn’t do enough for us and everything was just perfect. The room was so decadent and beautiful… from the luxurious roll top bath to the most comfortable gorgeous bed. Breakfast was amazing and again so unique…. WHO wants your standard full English? It fitted perfectly with the hotels ethos… we had the most exquisite omelette, with mushrooms asparagus and bacon. Absolutely beautiful and in the most gorgeous of settings. Tim we will definitely not forget how you made our weekend seeing Gerry so uniquely special …. Million pet ent we will return here and recommend it to all our friends who want the quirky bespoke personal…. Not the bland.

Pet and child friendly welsh country home . Large enclosedgarden . Close to Gower beaches . Double and twin rooms . En suite . Fabulous home cooked breakfast with our own chicken and duck eggs . Ample safe off road parking
The room was spacious and fully equipped with extensive views over The Gower… better than I’ve had in hotels at half the price. Only minor criticism was of the difficult to flush and slow to fill toilet. Quiet location not far from A48 and M4. Breakfast was excellent and comprehensive with for example a choice of hen or duck egg. Christine was helpful with maps and suggestions of where to go. Maximum of 30 minutes drive to anywhere in The Gower.

A stunning bar with five double rooms each with a view over the loughor estuary, Situated in the heart of Gower.
We used this place between 2 days of walking the Wales Coastal path & for that it was ideally situated. Nearly everything was great, although we felt a tad expensive but thats market forces I guess! The room was spotless, fabulous shower / bathroom, great & generous breakfast served in our room by a lady who agreed to deliver it early for us as we wanted an early start. We ate tapas in the bar in the evening & that was excellent - the staff are very good here. However, what made us mad was the fact there was just 1 usable electric socket & that was a SINGLE plug, situated in a very inaccessible place tucked down below the dressing table. The room itself was equipped with a kettle, a Nespresso machine & a hairdryer. We both had mobile phones that needed charging & my wife had heated tongs for her hair. So 6 electrical items & each time we wanted to use one necessitated scrabbling around on the floor under the dressing table to unplug the previous item & plug in the next. The room itself is compact & little space between the bed & the dressing table made it extremely difficult. Irrespective of the fact we are both pensioners & hence find it a little awkward to get down & up, this is a ridiculous situation & strongly suggests the owners do not want their guests to use their electricity! To summarise.....a great place, great staff & great food, but dont take any electrical items with you when you stay........but I guess in today's world that is impossible......pity the owners haven't realised this yet!
