9 Room bed & breakfast with a reputation for offering guests the personal touch to ensure there stay is one to remember.
Was only there for one night but without too many tourists around we had a very peaceful rest. We chose the Kiwi breakfast as an extra and it was delicious. It was nice to chat with the hosts, Liz and Nathan who were able to give help with a question from our travels (which you have to guess) . The answer is Manapouri sewerage plan.

Excellent base of operations in Te Anau. High quality comfortable room, with all you’d need for breakfast. Rebeccas is friendly and accommodating. Well located with an easy walk to the shops and lakefront. The spa pool looked tempting but we didn’t get that far.

The cottages are both fully self-contained, serviced and sit right on the edge of Fiordland National Park. We are only a 2 minute drive away from the picturesque township of Manapouri which sits on the shores of beautiful Lake Manapouri. Manapouri is complete with a store, Post Office, two cafes, a restaurant and hotel and is a great place to relax and enjoy one of New Zealand's most spectacular lakes.
We enjoyed our 4 nights here. Excellent location, just far enough out of Manapouri to be quiet but only 2 minutes drive in. Easy drive to all main attractions. Everything was very clean and well kept. Owner Jo had gone to some lengths to ensure the cottage was perfectly setup for our arrival. Our general comment is that the cottage had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable there. Plenty of space. Simple but pleasant. Easy and good wifi. Many nice touches that you do not usually find in commercial accommodation, kitchen was well stocked with everything needed, very good washing machine and dryer, excellent clothesline, bedrooms were fine, nice view of Kepler Mountains. Wonderful Alpaca farm next door. Recommended.

This accommodation was beyond all expectations - from the beautiful warm welcome by Dianna & Noel through to the lovingly prepared breakfast on the day of our departure. An accomodation highlight of our lives with hosts who very quickly felt like long lost friends. The villa is an absolute treasure trove of French flare, art, artistry and very warm hospitality. We left wondering if it was all a very beautiful dream - can’t wait to return.

We are a small country hotel situated between Queenstown and Milford.
Great spot. Very comfortable. Slept well! Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant too. Tom the host is very helpful. Lovely team. Recommend as a good place to stop. Having continental breakfast included in room rate was a bonus. Lots of locals in the bar, which is always fun :)

We had a most comfortable and homely stay at Beersheba B&B. The hosts were very a welcoming and made sure all our needs were attended to with a smile. We loved the location and the comfy bed. The dinner recommendation (Louies) was spot on!

The view is good but not much else. I don't know the history of this place but its age, size and style suggests it might have started life as accommodation in the 1960s for workers on the Manapouri hydroelectric scheme. We had a two bedroom unit with kitchen and living area. The only bathroom was attached ensuite to one very small bedroom but had to be used by all. The living area was poky. The place wasn't unclean but certainly tired. It was okay for a one night stopover but I wouldn't want to settle in for any longer.

We stayed here for one night on our return from a trip to the Catlins and the southern coast of the South Island. The room was excellent, attached to but separate from the main house. The bed was comfortable. Our host and hostess were extremely friendly and helpful in attending to our needs. We had use of the kitchen in the evening and a very good continental breakfast was provided.
