A wonderful stay!
Reviewed By Mike SThe owners/managers of this resort only bought the Linareva 10 months ago so please don’t let older poor reviews disuade you from staying here. My wife and I have travelled all over the world and we would be hard pressed to name nicer, more gracious hosts. Thank you for everything, David and Vanessa! The staff were also sweet and personable. Basil, the groundskeeper, picked us avocados off the tree. Rumia, who speaks better English than I do, was a delight- always patient and helpful. Selemene was always smiling and pleasant. The resort is located in an especially lovely part of Moorea. The view from the kayaks out on the water looking back on the beach is stunning. The first time we saw it, it took our breath away. You have free access to the recreational equipment at this resort. There are kayaks, snorkeling equipment, lifejackets, fishing equipment, and bicycles. There is an accessible fridge stocked with different wines and beers that is run on an honor system. You write down your name and what you take out. It’s a great system as the fridge is accessible at any time of the day or night. At the end of the dock, you can watch and safely swim with various fish and non aggressive sharks. We even saw a Manta Ray and a large turtle. On the grounds of this resort are many different fruit trees. There is passion fruit, bananas, avocados, starfruit, and papyas. . It is important that you understand that the Linareva is not the Hilton. We had the smallest bungalow and it was located close to the road. Therefore, we could hear traffic noises at right. Other bungalows are larger and likely quieter. However, our bungalow was very clean and there was a kitchenette that we used a lot. Our stay at the Linareva will stand out in our memory as one of our highlights of French Polynesia. One last thing- one of the most endearing things about the owners of this resort is the story about how they came to adopt the resort’s lovely dog, Lucky. I will leave it to the owners to tell the story but it will bring a tear to your eye.

We arrived for the check-in a bit late on that day and were a bit of confused about the entry. I rang the hostess Lisa and she immediately came out and gave us a very warm welcome. Lisa's husband Kairen is a good chef! He made superb breakfasts for us every morning during our stay. The location of Guest House is just at the center of the town. So it is very convenient to go anywhere. The room is cosy and spacious. We really appreciate the history of Guest House and the traditional style of accommodation. It gives more beautiful memory for our trip to Margaret River!

Staff very friendly and helpful - appreciated the warm and friendly greeting on arrival and help with bags and complimentary bubbles Breakfast - very good (a la Carte) with great coffee. Area - beautiful beaches and sunset beach great for sundown picnics. Comfortable room (ocean view Lower deck 207). Cheeky Dog pub was way better than we expected - great food and drinks (and pet friendly). Big pub but very well done. We didn’t enjoy the Mexican - too greasy for us but friendly staff and great seating. Areas they could improve: We were really disappointed to hear our neighbours TV either side at night - not relaxing for us. I guess this is an old hotel that has perhaps been renovated. We use our breaks to sleep and rest so it’s a shame TVs are heard through the walls. Could replace the single use plastic bottles every day and single use soaps. Would be good to have a recycling bin. Shame we missed the cooking event - we’d have gone to this beforehand if we had known. Not much info on the room - not a biggie but would be good to have more info about what’s on etc. We missed the pool as it was being fixed but appreciated our upgrades. All in all a wonderful stay - thank you!

Expensive barracks

Considering we booked a 2 bedroom apartment at close to $300 we expected to stay in them. We were sent up the road to some old army barracks that were upgraded. They were small with minimal facilities & we felt claustrophobic & left early, considering the costs of many others we stayed in that week we would not recommend it.

Reviewed By jrr270455Whilst a little out of town, (30 mins walk), a very comfortable motel located next to the golf club. Staff (probably managers) very welcoming and helpful. Room was huge and comfortably appointed. Bistro and golf club available next to the motel.

Lately Elvis and Marilyn have seen Bendigo accommodation swamped with visitors, so I decided to try the Oval Motel, leaving some extra budget for a good dinner. Glad I did... The welcome from Jacinta was great, she had turned on the heating in my room and was a great source of information on everything Bendigo. The Oval has gone to town with the Elvis theme, with touches of Elvis everywhere. The room was super comfortable, warm and well decorated. They have really gone way beyond your standard dull highway motel, and it feels more like a high end bed and breakfast. The bathroom shows its age, but the water was hot and the array of toiletries on par with the Hilton. Am I impressed - absolutely. And for $119 including a drink from the fridge this has to be the best value in town.

I would definitely recommend Bora Bora Holiday's Lodge and Villa. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. For me especially, she went out of her way to make an appointment with French Polynesia's most famous tattoo artist. He is always busy and I had tried many times prior to the trip to make an appointment. Getting a tattoo in Bora Bora was a lifetime dream of mine (I'm 82) and she made it possible. I cannot thank her enough.

Reviewed By paul hHad a three night stay here that was absolutely wonderful, the rooms were extremely clean and well maintained and had nice modern features, a comfy bed and a great shower is exactly what you want and this motel did not disappoint, our hosts, Jenny and Andrew were absolutely amazing, so helpful and friendly a real credit to what they do, BRAVO to you both. Will we stay here when next in Noosa, definitely for sure.
