We stayed with Lee , Janette and their lovely staff recently. I’ve never had more accommodating, friendly service. With 18 wedding guests to please, from sorting out a multitude of starters and different main courses to ensuring the baby was truly taken into consideration , it can’t have been easy!! Fred had so much patience and Karen ,Tia and others really went overboard to ensure everyone was happy. As for the Curious Fox itself, It has very comfortable, pleasant bedrooms with nice bathrooms . The bar service is great and it was lovely to be able to sit outside, yet return to the beautiful bar/ restaurant area when it got chilly. But….WOW!! The food. Absolutely stunning ? Delicious breakfasts ( no horrible greasy fry ups) and gorgeous dinners. Hats off to the chefs! All in all, I can’t fault this lovely hotel. Thanks guys, for making us feel so welcome. See you soon! Reviewed this pub 8 months ago, gave it 5. Food now not very good, pub still clean and front of house staff friendly and knowledgeable about what ale’s they sell, they are 5** but food definitely not as good. Fish was good but batter poor, chips disgusting, mushy peas horrible! Sausage and mash ok, veggies really good. Bar and serving staff best thing in pub.

Staying here for 1 night with friends. When we got there my friend went inside the hotel to ask were the parking was. The man who worked there came out and said he would guide me through the small archway to the car park. He stood in front of my car and was guiding me in through the arch way. He was gesturing to come in further, then next minute my car Hit the wall. Then he told me, actually it’s not going to fit, you best park in the pay and display down the road. After I parked in the pay and display I went into the hotel and confronted him. He was very rude and said he was sick of people like us wanting to use the car park and then blaming him when anything went wrong. He then went on to say it was my bad driving skills as the MAN I was with managed to get in. Which by the way his car was half the size of mine. Yes it probably was only myself to blame as it was my car but he was stood in front of the car and had a better view than I did wether it would fit or not. The fact that he didn’t apologise and was so rude about it made it even worse. Beds were also uncomfortable and very low to the floor, decor and furniture a bit tired too!!

Skiptons hidden gem! 7 individual Luxury Boutique Rooms all with en-suite facilities, just a stones throw from Skipton High Street. Ackroyds Bar just beneath with our Sister Hotel and Restaurant Napier's just over the road.
Very comfy, cosy bedroom. Lovely comfy bed. Very helpful lady at check-in etc. Oy issues were with the bathroom - extractor fan wasnt working. The sink was so small that once the tap was on the water went over the lip of thr basin onto the floor!! Other than that it was a nice pleasant stay

We’ve just left from a stay at the unicorn, the trip was booked through a third party. The hotel was perfect; The bedroom was spacious, very clean and well equipped. There were numerous amounts of tea, coffee and sugar, a desk fan, an ironing board with iron and a hairdryer. The bathroom was also lovely and clean, big white bath towels with soaps and a shower cap! A nice deep bath and a powerful shower. For breakfast you could pick many cooked options which catered for literally anyone. We opted for the ‘Big Yorkshire’ and were impressed, all ingredients are locally sourced and very tasty! The breakfast was brought to your room on a tray which I was impressed with. It meant you didn’t have to get ready and sit with a load of strangers and had the comfort of you own room at a proper dining table. The staff were also amazing, nothing was too much trouble, sadly I didn’t get the guys name, but he was something else, really looked after us and it made a lovely change! Overall, I’d definitely recommend The Unicorn, Skipton. I have literally no bad points. Thanks for having us. Andrew & Toni.

We stayed at Throstle Nest Farm for 3 nights over Easter and thoroughly enjoyed it. You couldn't ask for a better location - so peaceful, with so much wildlife around (sheep and lambs, rabbits, pheasants). Skipton is only a short drive away. The only issue we did have with the location was parking, as on the busier nights all the spaces were taken and we had to park on a steep dirt slope which was really an access to a play area - I had to put a lot of faith in my car's handbrake! We were in room 2 on the ground floor, right off the breakfast room/lounge, which had lovely views out across the Dales. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The only noise we could hear from the rooms above was one young child running around in the mornings - otherwise nothing. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold food. The juice bottle was always empty when we came to it but the staff would top it up straight away when asked. It would also have been good to have sauce available rather than always having to ask for it. We didn't see much of the owners but when we did they were friendly and helpful. They also have provision for arrival when they are not there with a code on the front door. If we visit the area again we'll definitely stay at Throstle Nest Farm - we'd love to try one of the lodges too as they looked amazing.

Welcome to The Old Swan, a recently refurbished pub with hotel rooms. Serving great food & wide range of drinks. Dog & kid-friendly, the perfect place to stop off during a hike or bike ride around Gargrave, Malham, Grassington, Ribblehead & The Three Yorkshire Peaks We look forward to welcoming you at the bar. Our hotel offers 5 en-suite rooms available as room only, or with a full cooked breakfast. The rooms are named after the local mountains and rivers are: Aire, Wharfe, Ingleborough, Ribble & Whernside.
Myself, husband and our friends visited the Old Swan on a recent weekend trip away. The hotel itself is beautiful . Very welcoming and extremely stylish in decor. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We decided to have a little bite to eat whilst we were there and ordered a sharing platter. It was delicious and plenty for 2 people. I would definitely recommend a visit to this lovely pub/hotel if ever in the area.

You are assured a warm welcome from Pam & Andy Gregory at Cononley Hall. Our four luxurious rooms are individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. Breakfast includes eggs from our own hens and local sausages & bacon. Our gardens are beautifully landscaped and maintained and are perfect for sitting out on a lovely sunny afternoon. Cononley has it's own station with an excellent train service to Leeds/Bradford and Skipton, which connects to the picturesque Settle-Carlisle railway. Skipton "Gateway to the Dales" is only a few minutes drive or train journey away. Cononley Hall B & B enjoys a lovely quiet village setting, yet is so close to the Yorkshire Dales & Bronte Country.
From the moment we arrived we felt incredibly welcome at this wonderful B&B. It’s a beautiful property with a delightful garden in a very quiet location. The proximity to Cononley Station is also very convenient for access to a range of locations, such as Skipton and Leeds. It’s in a great position from which to explore the Dales too. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable, but what made our stay most special were the hosts Pam and Andy who were so generous with their time and happily offered suggestions for itineraries and places to eat. Also, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, so really no praise is too high to describe our stay and we truly hope to be able to return.

The Railway is a Bed & Breakfast hotel with 6 en suite bedrooms. We also have an on-site restaurant and bar. We serve Sunday Roasts every week and have Steak Night on a Thursday. The room price includes breakfast each morning and we offer rooms for single occupancy at a discounted price. We're located in the heart of Skipton with excellent transport links.
Stayed for wedding at Bolton Abbey in early June , lovely clean rooms ideal for short stay , great breakfast on both mornings (thanks Dave the breakfast chef) the railway is ideally situated for pubs and restaurants however would recommend booking a meal at the railway as it is always booked up so the food must be good .
