The southernmost of the Western Fjord counties, Rogaland is also home to many beautiful beaches and islands. Of the area’s fjords, Lysefjord is the most famous, its 25 magnificent miles marked by narrow passages along steep vertical drops. Preikestolen, Rogaland’s most visited attraction, is a breathtaking cliff nearly 2,000 feet above the water. Kjeragbolten, a huge boulder wedged in a mountain crevasse, is another Lysefjord highlight. Cruises begin at Stavenger, the area’s biggest town.

Treat yourself, as our guest in this unique and historic home, designed by one of Stavanger’s most famous architects, Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff. The house is set in one of Stavanger’s most sought after residential areas, only a 5 minutes stroll from the city centre, yet, this beautiful tree lined road, offers calm and tranquillity to the discerning traveller. Museums, restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance, and the Airport Bus Service, only a few hundred meters away. Come and join us, as our guest, for a unique and special experience.
From the moment we stepped in the door I knew we had made the right choice. Our host was first class in the welcome and the house is just so beautiful. Bedroom was everything we needed together with a little kitchen next door where guests could use microwave or make tea or coffee at any time. Breakfast was superb with a great range of food. It was delightful sitting around a proper dining table in a tastefully decorated room exchanging our adventures with other guests. The guesthouse is ideally situated in Stavanger and easy walk to most places of interest and ferries. The bus stop to and from the airport is about a 5 minute walk.

We are a small and local Hotel with 25 rooms in the Hotel and 10 extra rooms in our guesthouse. We offer breakfast buffet every morning and a small selection of food during the day/evening. We are 10 minutes drive away from Preikestolen and 20 minutes from the Lysefjord. The Hotel is updated and partly renovated end of 2019/beginning of 2020. We hope to welcome you as our guest.
I have mixed feelings about this so called hotel. Let’s start with the positives: The location is lovely, in the heart of Jørpeland. Great sea view. Dog friendly. Better quality hairdryer. Breakfast included. Now the negatives: The front door was locked and we called the number on the door. Why we were not informed of this procedure when booking I am not sure. We had googled “restaurants in Jørpeland” and our hotel popped up so we thought “perfect!” we eat there. To our surprise there was no restaurant (breakfast only). No one at the front desk, just an oversized bell that you could possibly hear from Preikestolen if you rang it - and a number. Wifi password did not work. The room smells funky - like a baked potato. Also we are paying more for our room than what was advertised on the website.

We only had three nights here, and we were blessed with the weather (Norway in October!) We ate at the restaurant, the food was wholesome and what we wanted. We tried kayaking using the facilities and hill walking nearby. We could properly relax!

Utrolig greie folk som driver stedet. Anbefales! Slet mye med booking, men personalet viste kun velvilje. Sauda er en nydelig plass og dette er rett plass for å nyte utsikten. Jeg vil garantert retunere?

Dugneberg is located on the west side of the Karmoy island. Approximately 2,5 km south of Akrehamn, and 13 km north of Skudeneshavn. A sign marked "Rom" shows the way up from mainroad 47. You can get to Karmoy easily by car, boat, bus or by air. On request we might be able to meet you by car at the airport or harbour, charging a smaller amount. We can offer both double and single rooms. The rooms are simple, but big, clean and well maintained. Smoking is not allowed indoors. A shared bathroom for the guest are located at the first floor which has a bathtub and a shower. The price pr person is 250 NOK a night, breakfast included. The breakfast will be served at a requested time. A discount can be arranged for groups or long time hire. Dugneberg is a small farm located in a quiet area. It is about 15 minutes walk to the seaside. There are great walking paths in the highlands nearby. The outdoor location is calm and nice, surrounded by loans and fields. You are more than welcome to have a walk, or sit down and read a book on one of our benches in the garden. From the top of the Dugneberg hill you can enjoy the view of the coastline, or see a breathtaking sunset on clear summer nights. The nearest suburb is Akrehamn, which has several shops. It is also possible to get some warm food (of simple standard) in the village. There are many interesting sights and activities on Karmoy and the area around.
The accommodation is quite simple, with one shared toilet and one bathroom on the ground floor, the rooms are on the first floor. But the price is amazingly cheap, and the breakfast (served in the owner's livingroom) is superb. The owner is very friendly.

We were on a photo tour to this area, and checked in to the hotel, and got a quite satisfactory room, with a flat screen TV. I did not find any air condition, but the window worked fine. In these corona times they only served breakfast, which was good and plentiful, and the lady in the reception was all smiles and really friendly. Outside the hotel had a terrace facing the harbor and the sea, which was a nice place to relax after a long day with cameras on photo shooting. A place we will visit again if we come to the area.

A place to feel at home. Free on-site parking.
We booked a double room with attached shower. The stay was great, we didn't have any issues. We did have to call when we first got there, to get into the building. If you don't have cell service, you might want to communicate with them before arrival so you can get it. We got there the same time as a Norwegian guest, so he was able to call. It seemed like it was going to be a pain, with only one toilet to share with the floor, but it was always available when I needed it. Free laundry downstairs, which is incredibly helpful. The shared kitchen is nice, too.

We were visiting this charming little place and found this restaurant. The fishsoup was excellent tasty, aromatic and creamy. The apple cider in open glass was very fresh. There is also an open section under tent where grilled food is served, We can recommend this place.

Energihotellet is a small design hotel located in the tiny village of Nesflaten in Suldal. In the 1800's Nesflaten was known as a popular tourist area as part of the Discovery Route from Stavanger, through Ryfylke, to Hardanger and Bergen. Today Nesflaten is known through the hydropower headquarters of Hydro's Roldal Suldal Kraft and residential area designed by famed Norwegian Architect Geir Grung in the 1960's. Energihotellet was built as a housing facility for Hydro's workers and guests and retains many unique 60's features such as original furniture and a gold fireplace. Today the hotel focuses on local food ingredients and traditions, culture and hydropower. All 14 rooms have a spectacular view of the Suldal lake and the surrounding mountains.
