Our history is full of love for nature, style and pleasure in the middle of the Amazon. Hotel Enai is located in Puerto Maldonado, Peru, one of the best areas of South America full of nature, with the river of witness and an incredible culture. Enai is a lifestyle in the midst of the Peruvian Amazon that has activities, tours, the best of Peruvian cuisine, comfort mixed with nature.
What a wonderful hotel and overall experience. The hotel is very comfortable and the service is impeccable. Ricardo makes the most amazing pisco sours. He and Claudia were so attentive to us during our entire stay. We ate all our meals at the hotel because it’s a ways out of town and the food was amazing, both in taste and presentation. Breakfast is included. Everything we ate was very delicious and prices were reasonable especially for a hotel. We used the tour company that the hotel recommended. While it is a little more pricey than some of the other tours you will find, you most likely will not get the same experience. The hotel isn’t too deep into the Rainforest but far enough in that you have easy access to the experiences. We saw monkeys and a cayman near the property. At night it is so quiet and peaceful. Hands down, the hotel and the Rainforest experience has been one of the more memorable experiences of all our travels.

La Habana Amazon Reserve is a lodge located inside a nature reserve where you can rest relax and disconnect from the routine life. You can also choose safe tours in the Amazon.
I booked a room here through Chase travel and I showed up to find they said my reservation wasn't there. I had confirmation from Chase and they not only turned me away but offered ZERO help in finding an alternative for me and were rude about all of it. Do NOT depend on a secure booking here.

This place made us feel like we really were in the Amazon jungle but with a little bit of comfort. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly but most of all very knowledgable about the area - he had been born there but worked on various cruise ships along the Amazon and his English was excellent. His love of the wildlife and fauna was reflected in the simple gardens filled with fruit and vegetables everywhere. Views along the river and his own private dock area allowed access to the shore and great views. The rooms were spacious and airy with mosquito nets over all the beds. The bathrooms were basic but the showers were cooling and had good pressure. There is a communal lounge/dining area with plenty of fresh water to refill bottles- teeth cleaning/drinking etc. and an abundance of mosquito repellents to use. Breakfast was plentiful and all freshly made (various cooked egg options, fresh fruit, lovely home made bread and jam with plenty of different juices) and dinners could be arranged - again freshly cooked and excellent but need to be ordered in advance. The resident wild spider monkey was a frequent visitor and seemed to love children. A brilliant introduction to the jungle and the owner had several excellent day trips available. We did one in the afternoon which took us from the dock approximately 40 minutes along the river, a stroll through the jungle where we saw numerous monkeys, parrots, enjoyed the sunset and then an evening boat ride back seeing sloths, cayman and capybara. Another trip involved a taxi into Puerto Maldonado then a boat ride to the Tambopata National Park, a great walk through the jungle and then another boat ride onto the lake. Here we again saw various monkeys and parrots but also river otters - an excellent trip but a very early start but breakfast on the lake watching howler monkeys was a magical memory.

Stayed here as part of a group. Rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. The facilities are basic but you are in the Amazon jungle. The food was great, very fresh and tasty. Staff are wonderful so helpful. Just make sure to bring powerbank and torch with you as there is only electricity at certain times of the day and lights go out bdtwen 21.00 and 21.30. Highly recommend this lodge.

I held a small yoga retreat for a couple of days for a group of people from the Czech Republic in this place. It is truly marvelous for such events or for anyone who whishes to spend some time in peace and quiet, located amidst a jungle forest, half and hour away by taxi from the city, not far from the river and from the Amazon Shelter. There is great vegetarian/vegan food available, little data access, beautiful a perfectly well-equipped yoha shala and tea prepared by the staff before/after class. There is a place available to have a bonfire, the double rooms are cosy and the bathrooms spacious. Everything is kept clean and there is a great focus laid on ecological details which we appreciated greatly. We sadly had no chance to meet the owner, Vanessa, about whom we have hear legends. Totally recommended.

The lodge is amazing! The staff is very nice and makes you feel very relaxed. I really enjoyed to stay in our room (open with no window) and in the lobby, laying on a hammock. I very recommend this Lodge. I am very thankful to Victor and to our guide Louis.

we are from Germany and visited Villa Hermosa in 2016 as Overlanders. We planned in staying only two days, but ended up staying a whole week. We felt so welcome, like at home. It was a wonderful experience, with beautiful, nice people. We were even invited to cook and eat with the family. The place is right on the junge eldge. There are a bunch of animals roaming free around the house. Wild little apes, two parrots, another little ape and three dogs. There are no cages, they stay because they are welcome. At night you can see with a bit of luck wild little apes in the trees. It's a pleasure to be around the place. Also there is a nice pool, which is nice, since temperature can get hot and a restaurant. We stayed in our van, so we don't know about the rooms, but honestly, it doesn't matter that much, if the atmosphere is all right. Jungle trips and kaiman tours nearby are possible.
