Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. I would Definitely stay here again. Fire pit, plenty of Adirondack chairs.that were ight on the lake and next to the door. Canoe, kayaks, etc always available. We were here Memorial day weekend, so the pool was not open. The bed was comfortable, pillows were great, towels great. Room was very clean. We ran out of wood for the fire pit and they very quickly went out and got more wood for us. The only downside was the carpet had stains, Should be addressed and cleaned when it looks like that. Quick fix. One thing I was impressed by, was how the manager spoke to the employees. She seemed so nice and understanding. Addressed everything right away with a smile! Good job! Definitely would stay here again!

Old, Smelly & Buggy

Reviewed By Getaway136904

This hotel is old and smelly & in terrible shape. The carpets are torn and look like they have not been cleaned ever. I sat on the bed and thought someone was knocking at the door but it was the sound of the bed. I saw a bug run a cross the floor. I checked out the same day I checked in. They have to make this hotel non-refundable because everybody would want their money back.

Quaint little place. Love the old vintage style rooms with the 100 year old floor squeaks. We were visiting the Palmyra/Newark area on and LDS (Mormon) historical sites tour so it was quite fitting. Everything is not perfect which makes it perfect. Such character and we were well taken care of. Lovely sun rooms and sitting areas. We were out and about and only slept here. Next time will enjoy the property more. Would definitely come back.

This is a great establishment with friendly and accommodating staff. In the city, location is everything and this place has it! It was clean and well appointed. We stayed in the very bottom level which was cool during the summer heat. It's a historic building so expect that it's not perfect but that's part of the charm!

Would Happily Return

My husband and I stayed in Room 9 which was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I loved the colour scheme and the little living room area — it’s great to have somewhere to sit other than the bed to have a cup of tea or coffee. The kitchenette down the hall was handy and I appreciated that they had wine glasses, ice buckets, corkscrews, etc. for guests to avail of. The kitchen was being remodelled during our stay, so we had the option of a breakfast basket each morning or walking to another B&B the owners run down the road for a hot breakfast. We opted for the latter and were happy to have done so. The menu was simple (French toast, oatmeal, fried eggs, bacon, etc.) but well done. The innkeeper and other staff we met were all very welcoming and clearly take pride in maintaining their properties and ensuring their guests have a good experience.

Charming B&B in Utica, NY

I really enjoyed my brief stay at the Rosemont Inn. The Lavender Room was so inviting. Outgoing hostess Venus gave me a detailed tour and invited me to enjoy free drinks, tea and coffee as well as lounge in the beautiful parlor. Unfortunately I needed to unwind and get to bed early and was a late arrival. There was a very comfy bed and pillows and a lovely robe that I used after a shower in the pretty bathroom with deluxe shower with two shower heads. Spoiled! The room was very spacious and inviting! In the morning, Rita made me a delicious breakfast burrito steaming hot out of the oven and wrapped in foil plus a big bran and blueberry muffin that I ate later. The freshly ground coffee was superb. I also partook of the individually packaged shortbread, filled my water bottles and used ice to keep the water cold all day. The common mini fridge allowed me to keep a sandwich and drinks cool for the next day. There was a little glitch with the tv that was ultimately solved due to the heavy power outlet pulling the cord out of the wall outlet. Hope that will be fixed for the next visitors. I would love to return and get a chance to eat the full breakfast! … Or check out another of the great rooms. Didn’t have a chance to explore the vicinity as I had a two-day, 20-hour course to attend at Mohawk Valley Community College. Another time perhaps!
