Natural beauty abounds in the state of Uttaranchal's Lake District. Boaters flock to hill-ringed Naini Lake, which according to mythology is one of the emerald eyes of Shiva's wife. A hike or horseback ride to the top of Naina Peak (aka China Peak), the highest point, provides stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas. To share a prime vantage point with family members of all ages, take the aerial lift up to Snow View; there's also a small marble temple at the top dedicated to Dev Mundi.

I was scheduled to stay at this place in December 21 but due to covid exigency i could not.I have timely informed the hotel manager (Anish)on this. This man is so discourteous and impolite that he denied any refund. He even sold out my room atva higher cost to someone .MMT team kept on trying to reach process refund but he declined. I had a terrible experience with this person and property.

A boutique heritage property with breathtaking views of Naini Lake, The Palace Belvedere is in the heart of town, yet away from the hustle and bustle.
The worst ever experience in thi hotel.A lowest quality property, with totally inexperienced, immature staff, below standard interiors. No privacy in the haunted rooms. There were no cooks the same so called waiters prepare food and serve in very unprofessional manner.A self styled GM Desai is a foolish personality. In the morning of 15th May 2022 an electric short circuit in my adjacent room took place and all the smoke filled in my room and there was no one to attend it,Mr. Desai virtually fled from the scene. This hotel should be debarred.Tourists should beware of this horrible property. The cab operator was also a cheat ,who left us in between on road and fled .

BALAUT RESORT is located in a amazingly beautiful location at Suryajala Village near Nainital town. Balaut offers cottages & Swiss camp setup in a picturesque backdrop. This property is surrounded by river Gola and hill forest. Guest can enjoy several adventure activities while staying here. This is a ideal place for yoga & meditation. Also enjoy mountain biking, off roading at Balaut Resort Nainital.
Such a pathetic hospitality served by balaut resort. This is very first time we visited here , services full of negligence , we were seated 15mins before.none of them came to take order neither entertain with the menu. Moreover the table full of filth. And the cash counter lady Sonia is quite rude. We doesn't expected this from a well knows resort. We understand the rush and we do understand the no. Of covers But not attending the customers and giving rplys like "sir aadha ghnata lagega order lene mai" Why we should wait for 1/2 hrs to give orders . And than how long it will take to prepare? And then what the purpose of giving cover parking charges? Absolutely pathetic. Standard of service 0/5

Bob's Place lies in the heart of the Kumaon Himalayas at 6200 feet. It lies in the mist of verdant valleys and mountains clad in forests of oak, rhododendron, deodar and pine.
Spent four nights at Bob's place. Beautiful property, well located, tasteful decor, large outdoor spaces. Overlooking the snow clad Himalayas Had a standalone cottage to ourselves. Comfortable, warm & cheerful. Bathroom. Bedroom, are spotlessly clean, House keeping is provided on daily basis. Staff is excellent, welcoming , flexible & at one's service with a smile . Enjoyed the meals, well cooked, presented & delicious. Best food,we have had in an off beat resort. Plenty to do in- house, large library of books, pooltable , table tennis, basketball net. And hammocks to just laze around. Walk & hikes for the more adventurous. All in all a great experience. Highly recommended Cheers to Bob's place

Avaas is every nature lover's haven - perched on the mountains and surrounded by dense forests and overlooking the valleys, while offering a view of the majestic Himalayas. Along with scenic views, the property also offers plush accommodation and delectable food for the travellers. The property has two accommodations to suit every taste - the wooden chalets and the heritage stone cottage. The wooden chalets are made of Canadian and Finland pinewood, which lend the cottages a pristine touch. The exquisite wooden chalets have every modern amenity to make your stay a comfortable and unforgettable one. There are various spacious patios where you can sip on your tea and take in the view of the mountains. You can gaze and be mesmerized by the view of the valleys from your room too - one simply needs to draw back the curtains on the glass doors and windows. The heritage stone cottage has elegant antique furniture that is as comfortable as it is beautiful.

Route: The last 2kms or so towards the resort, are quite rugged terrain, but we managed with our sedan. A bumpy ride, but no worry if you drive carefully. Tip: Get your car vitals checked before you plan your trip. Welcome: It was fabulous. The resort owners (Anil ji) were also present at the reception & received us cordially. We spent some time with him & he patiently & happily answered all our questions on the resort, the surroundings, the nearby village, the trek paths & everything else. Hosts: Anil ji & his team were really courteous & helpful during our stay. We never felt the need to ask for anything twice. His team & staff were v helpful all the time - ready to jump at every opportunity to provide assistance. Food: Always greeted with piping-hot, delicious food. The good part - always a home cooked meal, with no extra oils, nothing unhealthy to repent later. And they gave us a taste of Punjab, Uttarakhand, South-India as well as chinese delicacies. Local Sightseeing: We were taken on two trekking tours - one towards a temple on a mountain top & the other one that took us to a waterfall. These treks & their memories will stay with us forever. Anil Ji was so supportive when we felt tired or gave up, cosidering some of the stretches were tough. But HIGHLY recommended. It's must do for erveryone who loves adventure. We did not do the Naina peak trek because of the lack of time, but i intend to do that on our next visit. We were also given a tour of the local village where we could actually see their customs & lifestyle. Rooms: The rooms were cozy & comfortable & sufficient for our family of 3. Awesome view of the mountains & the greenery around. Some of the birds we spotted early in the morning -- green, red, blue, yellow, purple -- never seen before. Just wake up early & enjoy the sunrise - worth every penny. And th sunset view was equally stunning. Connectivity: Only JIO was available. No other network - So no 4G/3G/2.5G. The rooms & everywhere else in the resort had excellent wifi available. The electricity did play spoilsport some times, but we frankly didn't mind that much. I believe it was a temporary glitch Activities: We played badminton, archery, basketball in the premises. Enjoyed the bonfire twice with millions of stars twinkling & visible (we miss that so much in our metros now). We went in the last week of December & the weather was awesome. Not sure if the last 2 miles will still be open when it snows. But worth planning your next family vacation. Anil Ji & his team will make your trip memorable.
