Super location, ideal for your skiing holiday!! Food was very nice but not what you want after a full day of skiing, something more harty would have been more appropriate. The children loved the swimming pool, however the strict control by the receptionist/boss meant they felt very uncomfortable. One thing I have to point out is my disappointment that a 4 star hotel did not offer complimentary coffee. Not in your rooms and not in the wellness salon, everything else from a wide assortment of teas but no coffee, when I requested this from the unpleasant receptionist I was met with a cold “no! No coffee” answer. The rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast which was a buffet was plentlyfull. The waiter and waitress were very friendly. Would we go back... No! Owner was unfriendly and rude!

The hotel is close to the ski slopes and that was a big plus for us. The rooms are spaceus and big, bed squeak but it is not so terible. The food is good but for the dinner we weited for an haur and a half that they brought us soup, main dish and dessert. We also found a hair in the food :(. The stuff is nice and friendly. You can also rent skiis and helmets and this stuff which is very convenient.

We got there and they seem very accommodating. We had to ask a lot of questions to find out about their wellness area and prices weren't really displayed for special events etc etc We were 4 adults and 1 child. We had breakfast included and decided to go individual for the dinner at night and not do half board. After being charged 16,50 on two nights for a child's meal - given it was delicious - (for an adult it would have been 18,50) we decided to ask about the price. The answer was -oh we are sorry and you get the next one for free. Later the bill got to our table and they charged 8,50 and it wasn't free. The next night it was 16,50 again. So we inquired again and got the daughter of the owner (who is taking over the business) and received the answer that a child's meal Is only 2,00 off. Seriously?? Also at first they told my husband he could decide every night if he chooses to eat a la carte or the special menu (for half board) He chose to eat their special Christmas menu and was charged 38,00 instead of 18 (the regular price for their menu) we asked about it and they told us because he decided not to go with the daily menu (half board) After that we ate dinner at other places and slashed our dinner bill almost in half. The wellness area was great and included but inside the area they had jacuzzi tubs where one had to purchase coins if you want to use them. The room was nice and clean. Plus we had extra space for our child (addtl bedroom). The ski bus stopped 200m from the hotel which was very convenient. Overall it wasn't bad, but it also isn't something I would rave about and do again. I recommend if you stay there go out for dinner into town.

What could be better than sitting outside on the terrace enjoying good food and wine. This place deserves a visit in the heart of Maria Alm. Back to its best. Wiener schnitzel and schweinmedallions excellent
