Take the road less travelled and hidden in the majestic Makungutsha mountains you will discover 'Wide Horizons'. This is a get away from it all - on a working farm, with wildlife conservation area, well stocked dams for fishing, surrounded by glorious indigenous forests full of birdsong, with meandering trails following cascading streams to soothe your soul and get back to nature. At the centre of 'Wide Horizons' is the original stone and thatch built farmhouse, set in spacious well kept gardens with hidden statues and sculptures, contemplation chapel and natural rock pool. Nearby, the renowned 'Rosecraft' weaving centre once provided employment for many locals from the surrounding area and exported exquisite designer fabrics, tableware, carpets etc. worldwide. 'Wide Horizons' has quirkily decorated double rooms in the main lodge, self catering cottages, and safari style tents for the real out of Africa experience.
Enjoyed the privacy and peace. house was well cleaned. i would recommend that the private lodges have their own swimming pool, try to maintain the hiking trails, have a freezer as the fridge is small, have doom/insect killer to help with the mosquitoes.

Swazi Village Home Stay is situated in the hills of Swaziland, off the beaten track, 55km away from the urban environment. Set in the peaceful rural village, Swazi Village Home Stay will leave you feeling like an honored and privileged guest. Ideally perched at the edge of the community. Enjoy sleeping in Swazi Traditional huts and meeting the locals and visiting the local schools, and helping
Myxo gave us the incredible chance to get closer to a rural village in eSwatini. The cute little village in the middle of the mountain is a little hidden pearl. We arrived and saw a football match and the locals were all very friendly with us and willing to chat and know a bit about us. Unfortunately the visit to the school was not possible cause it was holiday period so we went for a walk and chat with Myxo he afternoon after we arrived. The day after we went for another walk and along the way we saw other houses and went for a brief visit to the Home stay's neighbours. We ate local food and slept in the traditional Swati hut. The drive to the place was pretty "intense" as the road is broken and full of holes, luckily nothing happened to our car but probably better to drive to there with Myxo who is better used to it than us, but yet...it was still part of the experience.

Clean and run by nice people, but superbly basic. Hard to justify the price given a random collection of rooms with shared bathrooms. It did have WiFi that worked quite well. But do not think of it as anything more than a basic hostel where you can cook your own meals in a semi-functional kitchen. For $70, I can get a much better room in just about any city in the world, including NYC and London.

Global Village is indeed a hotel with 34 executive self-contained rooms, a restaurant with a touch of class serving contemporary classic fusion cuisine, 120 seater high-tech conference hall ideal for business and social events, a resident bar with a wide range of wine, whiskeys, lagers, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Wifi is good. Spacious conference room, for a small group though. The environment is peaceful more so because the guesthouse is outside town. Clean rooms. I feel like the bathrooms are small though. The food is good especially lunch and supper. I remember this other day we had indigenous chicken for supper? the pool is alright. One gets a good view on Madonsa townships which is refreshing more especially in the morning

I read the review and wonder why my experience was just so different! The staff are very friendly, but the room was chaos. Cabling handing everywhere, one thing would not be on if the other was, no aircon, lumpy pillows, crooked TV, fan that didn't even stir the air, shower where you had to stand against the wall to even get water, the pipe was too short, threadbare towels. We didn't even stay for breakfast. Tried to have dinner there, but no beers, poor selection of wine and the rump was recommended, but it was tough and salty, very poor food and selection. Won't be back
