The capital of Spain, Madrid is where established traditions, classic and alternative art scenes, and a knack for socializing over food or drinks at any hour come together in a vibrant, walkable city with a laid back yet metropolitan vibe. From the sparkling lights and illuminated fountains of the stately Paseo del Prado to the narrow streets of hipster Malasaña where the fiesta continues until into the morning, the neighborhoods of Madrid are eclectic and fascinating. Everywhere you go, you’ll see people out and about, enjoying all this historic city has to offer.

Luxury Boutique Hostel located in the center of Madrid. Modern and charismatic place offering the same services as a luxury hotel.Vitium Hostal Suites is a sophisticated place whose location offers the best cultural and entertainment activities.Services: Free WIFI, piped music, safe-deposit box, minibar, hairdryer, bathroom, air-conditioning (warm and cool), etc.
I spent a few days in this hotel. The welcome was not really " warm" (contrary to the weather). I think this is kind of an issue for me. I'd rather be in a hotel in which personnel is really friendly (and be in a mediocre room) than a hotel with people that are not really interested in their client. The room was comfortable and very good. Breakfast was served in a room that wasn't very interesting too. So...... great location, if you don't expect much welcome her you'll be in the right place. For me I'd say: step up and show some interest in your client (and having travelled to 100+ (probably even 200+?) hotels in the world, I can have an opinion about the matter.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights from Easter Sunday, booking with Secret Escapes. I contacted the hotel directly prior to booking to request twin beds, although the secret escapes deal was for a double bed. They responded immediately and told me once booked they would change the room. This hotel is on a street just off Gran Via and 3 mins walk from Gran Via metro. A perfect location. It is 3 mins walk to the bus stops and the red open top tourist bus. The bedroom was roomy for a city hotel, modern and very clean with a small but adequate en-suite bathroom. The rain shower was powerful and there was always hot water. Toiletries and clean towels were provided daily and the room was spotlessly cleaned every day. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was a small boutique hotel and staff knew who the guests were so you felt safe. We heard no noise in the room at night. The weather was hot over Easter about 23-26 degrees and we had the window slightly opened at night. There was heating and air conditioning. The decor and paintings throughout the hotel were lovely. It was worth walking down the stairs just to look at the paintings and decor in the hall by the lifts on each floor. Breakfast was self service continental buffet. It was all fresh with a variety of cold foods, breads and fruits. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again when I return to Madrid

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone traveling solo who has friends or relatives in the city. They don’t allow any visitors not even for quick visit but on top of that the staff are extremely rude and disrespectful. They charged my card, the minute they found out I didn’t agree to their house rule, which were nowhere to be found on the website. One of the concierges went upstairs and charged my credit card without my permission, it was a really shady and sneaky move. I couldn’t bear to stay there with these people. They lost my trust in a matter of minutes, so I ended up booking an airbnb with a really friendly host who really respected my privacy. They took my money, and provided no service at all. It was a straight up scam!! These people are the absolute worst!!! They also asked me where I was from and they said that “unlike in my country” they had rules to follow, adding up to my humiliation. You’d be better off staying at an airbnb.

Centrally located overlooking the Sabatini Gardens in Madrid's Plaza de Oriente, this elegant guest house offers 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. It is 200 metres from Opera Metro Station and 10 minutes' walk from Puerta del Sol. The rooms at Hostal Central Palace Madrid feature wooden floors and classic decor. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and toiletries. Some rooms offer views of the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral and the Sabatini Gardens. A breakfast is served every morning at a nearby cafeteria; and many shops, bars and restaurants are within a short walk. Luggage storage is offered. Staff at reception can provide information about what to see and do in Madrid. There are also various car parks within a short walk.
We stayed here twice at the beginning and end of a trip to Spain. The rooms as simple, but clean and well appointed . The location is great on Plaza de Oriente directly across from Central Palace, which is great. What made it a great stay was the service. The team on site made good recommendations and when I got sick during our stay (nothing to do wit hotel), was really kind and helpful. It's on a plaza so there is some noise, but the restaurants below close up, so if you are keeping Madrid hours (late dinners and slower mornings) it works out fine. I'm a light sleeper and benefitted from ear plugs when turning in early.

We were late to book a place for two nights in Madrid so choices were limited. Picked Hostal Madrid Inn based on great reviews and price. For the price it was fine - $100 a night for a central location and reasonably clean room in prime season. The place is noisy - from inside - the floors creak terribly and it woke us up early. The shower has some mildew and the toilet is so close to the shower wall and sink you had to turn to use it. Staff are super friendly.

JC Rooms Santa Ana is located in one of the most emblematic areas in the centre of Madrid: the well-known Barrio de las Letras, between Plaza de Santa Ana and Puerta del Sol. From here you will have easy access to the main tourist spots in the city as well the most popular shopping areas (Gran Vía or Argüelles) and restaurants.
The staff was very kind and helpful, and their service was outstanding! The hotel is also well situated within walking distance of many attractions, bars and restaurants. That said, bring head phones, because music and people can be heard at the clubs until the early morning hours.

Great place to stay! Clean, centrally located, very close to the Metro, simple and very pleasnt, comfortable room and bed. The refrigerator was a nice detail as was the wifi. My room overlooked the patio, so was quiet. The staff is amazingly gracious and helpful!! I stayed here my last nights after a month in Spain and it was the perfect end to a wonderful trip.
