Établissement situé au cœur du village de saint cirq Lapopie. Restaurant proposant une cuisine traditionnelle avec des produits locaux.
The hotel is in the heart of Sait-Cirq-Lapopie, which is car free, other than dropping off your luggage. Parking is in a city lot that is an easy walk away. The hotel was charming, with a very attentive owner and staff. Our room had a garden view, which was lovely. It's location provides easy walking to a number of great hotels - some of the best food we enjoyed in France.

James (who is from England, but speaks fluent French) runs a lovely B&B, he’s friendly and a fantastic host. Unfortunately we only stayed one night while we were visiting Rocomadour. The B&B had excellent off road parking for our Harley, James did offer the security of a locked barn for our motorcycle but we felt happy enough leaving the bike on the off road parking. This is a lovely quiet area with plenty of grounds to the rear of the property to relax in. Racomadour is approx a 2 mile drive. When we arrived back from touring Rocamadour we sat and relaxed at the front of the property with a few beers (which you can buy off James). Our room was lovely and breakfast was served in the lovely French breakfast room playing relaxing background music. James offers a lovely choice of cereal/cakes/yoghurts/croissants/teas and coffee’s. There are no restaurants/bars in this area, but Im sure you can order a meal prior to your arrival. We had already eaten while in Rocomadour. Sadly we didn’t get to sample the homemade goat’s milk ice cream that James recommended, that his neighbour makes (1/4 mile walk from B&B).

This 150 year old property, which started as a hotel, retains many original characteristics and is tastefully designed with your comfort in mind. We offer a boutique experience with access to garden, plunge pool* and on site restaurant for your pleasure.
This small hotel was one of the highlights of our Dordogne hiking tour. We spent 2 nights at this welcoming place with its charming rooms and excellent dinner. The breafasts were fresh and diverse. Many thanks to the Irish hosts. La Petite Auberge can be highly recommended. Anita, Ruth and Michael from Switzerland

Bob and Claude Mitrani welcome you at Right along the st James way, you will have the pleasure to enjoy a contemporary way of life beautifully set in a unique renaissance Architecture. We will be delighted to share with you our love for refinement and detail attention we applied to our previous occupation as fashion designers, when Claude was a famous “créatrice de mode”. As passionate as we both are of period architecture as well as interior design, we fell in love at the first sight of the Village of Montcuq and this exceptional House so sturdily tucked in the Village near the Charming “Mairie”. By the end of 2009, our new adventure would begin.
This small hotel really does deserve all the superlatives it's been given. We travel a lot and this boutique hotel is certainly one of the best places we have ever stayed. The hosts are charming, amiable and engaging, it's really like being house guests but certainly not over intrusive. The rooms are well thought out, comfortable and chic. Then there is breakfast, truly excellent. The home made brioche smothered in caramel sauce is to die for, accompanied by homemade jams, and delicious home grown fruits and well sourced yoghurt, fruit juice and pastries. If your in the area, treat yourself and go here.

When we arrived at Mas de Garrigue at 5 PM this August, we learnt that the place was not welcoming kids. On the 90's website in the "Good to know" section, it is written "The property is unsuitable for children under the age of 10 years old" which may mean that the place is not ideal for kids as there is not much to do for them. But for a 7-month old like our kid, this remark may not apply. The other reason could be that the swimming pool appears totally unsafe contrary to the recommendations of the French administration. If the owners want to forbid their place to kids, they should write as they do for animals, "kids are not allowed" and put it on the homepage in red. Also, when we booked, one of the options let us choose if we were coming with kids. This is what we did and at this stage, it was never written that kids were forbidden and we were allowed to book a room. So, during our two days at Mas de Garrigue, we felt we were barely tolerated and that our 7-month old (who sleeps straight from 7.30 PM to 7 AM, lucky us!) was a nuisance. If Steve is a real Irish gentleman, Sarah did nothing to make us at ease at all. Just after saying the conventional “Bonjour”, she told us that we could not roll our heavy suitcases on the floor, that our son could not falling asleep in his stroller with us while we were having dinner with the other guests and that he could not sleep in our bed (as if it was our intention…) because the mattresses cost 2,000 euros. If really had the impression I was in boarding school, not on holidays. If you want to stay in a museum or feel guilty because you're a young parent, Mas de Garrigue is your place. If you're planning to go on vacation with an adorable kid, please go away.

From you go through the gates and enter the oasis of Les Hauts you are welcomed into the stunning home of Xaviour and Jay. The house is a work of art but also a home. Our bedroom was spacious and tastefully furnished with top class linens on an extremely comfortable bed . The ensuite bathroom complemented the bedroom with a powerful shower and pristine, white towels. The breakfast on the terrace in the beautiful, extensive gardens the next morning was worthy of any top chef. Xaviour bakes his own bread, makes his own youghart and made us omelettes from eggs laid by their own hens. Jay gave some of his precious time to us, explaining the concept behind their lifestyle. The very large pool was superb and pool towels are kept in your room . We look forward to returning. Don't hesitate. Book this superb oasis.

Excellent comfortable accommodation in which the owner goes the extra mile to make sure that his guest are welcome and that he provides everything for you. Stayed for three nights and took the dinner option which was described as a light dinner, salad with Foie Gras and smoked duck with an oriental twist, selection of cheeses, and a dessert which I had to decline as I was stuffed, followed by coffee and Calvados, with of course good Cahors wine with the meal. Breakfast gave a great selection with fresh cooked if required. A truly great B&B.

An historic mansion with beautiful views, stillness and large comfortable rooms. We had a kingsize bed, a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed an incredible hospitality from the owners. The place is one of the best in that area
