The misty hills, lush teakwood and sandalwood forests, and acres of tea and coffee plantations of Kodagu are, in a word, stunning. Also known as Coorg and dubbed "The Scotland of India," Kodagu is a postcard-perfect region of scattered villages and hamlets, which are the epitome of old-world charm. Kodagu is ideal for outdoor activities such as trekking, angling and white-water rafting, and major festivals like Keil Poldu (worship of weapons), Cauvery Shankaramana (return of the river goddess) and the Huttari (harvest) festival are a huge draw.

Deep in the heart of Coorg's verdant hills, is an experience waiting to enchant you with the unbridled magic of the Western Ghats. Picture this, lungfuls of clear forest air. Green, so lush that it awakens the dormant poet in you. Space that makes you feel like yourself again. And then a surprise waterfall that turns your heart into a gleeful child. Ayatana offers 50 well-appointed rooms, each offering a spectacular show of Coorg's dreamy scapes. The morning mist unravels to awaken you to the birdsong and forest dialogue. Our restaurant fills the soul with views of a gregarious river, while our chefs prove a worthy gastronomic match to the view. With a resplendent nature that seems to embrace from all directions, a stay at WelcomHeritage Ayatana will be nothing short of enriching the mind, body and soul.

A classy and authentic homestay in a coffee plantation in Coorg, adjacent to Coorg Golf Links. Owned and managed by an Army Officer family. We have no tie-up with any travel agency. We accept direct bookings only.
It has been almost two years, due to Covid, since we ventured out. Due to uncertainties in the work schedule, we had a last-minute plan to get away for a week. Fortunately, we were able to get accommodation for a few days at Casa Coorg. Travel for us is all about Mind Osoji and gaining a fresh perspective, in a soothing environment. The Place ( Casa Coorg) is just as we envisaged - comfortable, clean, and surrounded by the nature...an ideal place for Mind Osoji. ( Japanese term for cleaning ) . Pearl & Bharath were just amazing hosts. One is tirelessly working to give the guests the best hospitality experience, while the other would not fail to stimulate your minds with conversations and thought-provoking points of view thru his rich knowledge and experience. Very respectful of Guests and their preferences, be it breakfast, dinner, or just the extent of interactions And yea - did I Forget to mention the sumptuous food ( Thank you- Pearl ) that we ended up enjoying while we were there !. & the Tail wagging company we had ...Orio who would not fail to satisfy your urge to shower your pampering on to him . We made new friends , We would be back.

If you are dreaming of the ideal weekend getaway with picturesque landscapes, here's a perfect place to drain out all your mental fatigue. The Blue Mountains Estate Stay is situated 2.5 kms from Napoklu in the lap of Tala Cauvery - the birth place of Goddess Cauvery. This estate stay is in the midst of coffee plantations and the bluish misty mountain range forms a fringe around the cottage and stands as a silent sentinel, with the stately silver oaks adding to its striking beauty. The mesmerizing view leaves us totally spellbound with simply breathtaking views of natures own spectacle. Also there is mouthwatering offer in store from the kitchen to take care of your taste buds.
We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Never taught we will have a wonderful vacation after this pandemic. Our stay at Blue Mountain estate stay was fantastic. It is a well maintained cottage by friendly and passionate team with excellent food service. The location is superb and we look forward to visit the place again.

Overall, I had a great experience with The Birchwood Retreat, staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect for a family get together. The only advice from my side is to increase the speed of F&B service. Would recommend to others??

Misty Woods puts the best of Kakkabe at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable and adventurous.
We visited Misty woods over the last 4 days, the food was great Chef Akash Makes great food, esp. North Indian and Indo-Chinese, they were prepared very well. The restaurant Manager Iqbal was also very polite courteous and accommodated all our requests. The Rooms were well maintained, we did not have any power issues Either ( After reading a few reviews we were initially skeptical but seems like the Management has re-invented the place with newer Staff / Chef and Management) The Resort is right in the middle of plantations making it truly away from city and very close to nature. The private falls within the Property was truly Private and the water was so clean and refreshing - a small trek to the falls was also fun, all in all we had amazing 4 days, we felt relaxed, rejuvenated.

We travelled all the way from Mumbai to this wonderful, peaceful place, away from the maddening crowd! Vinodh and team provided us with very homely and comfortable stay. Food was mouth watering and tasty every time! Going around the 35 acre coffee plantation everyday was mesmerising. The cherry like robusta coffee beans were everywhere. Most of the large trees had the pepper tree climbing alongside. Would definitely recommend your next farm stay at this scenic location. Sharing a few images from this travel!

Thatched Roof CABIN IN THE WOODS! The Forest is at your doorstep at this Hilltop Cottage with high open ceilings and rustic decor. Two Queen size beds and 4 Attic beds, Patio/ Sit-out with mountain views all around. Trek to the mountain top, stroll to the waterfall, capture the exotic wildlife. The camera is your best companion here. It’s living in the Forest, the Forest is right at your doorstep at this Hilltop Forest Camp. You can’t get more closer to Nature. The sounds that you hear here are of chirping birds, calls of Hornbills and other exotic birds and singing of Cicadas. The Twin cottage made from eco-friendly materials has a private entrance and a Patio to sit back and soak in the view and nature. The cottages offer all around view of the Pushpagiri mountains and dense Forest. You can choose to trek 15 to 20 mins leading to one of the most spectacular views of the Western Ghats or Trek through the Tea Plantation to a private waterfall which cascades down all through the year. There are many mountain springs and rivulets in the estate and adjoining areas. However, it is advisable not to venture out after dark and always inform the caretaker if there is a pressing need to venture out of the estate after dark. Overview: The plantation is surrounded by Pushpagiri Forest Reserve. Access to the property is through a freshly asphalted road through the scenic village of Galibeedu and lush green paddy fields and dense foliage. You cross through a dam, rain fed waterfalls, and some scenic landscapes. Note: The property is in a remote location with poor network connectivity. The guests can use our landline to make and receive important calls. Although it’s in a wild and remote location, it’s completely safe and the care taker is an ex-service man is more than able to handle any situations.
We had decided to take a short break in Coorg and after searching through all the regular hotels, resorts, plantations, came across Red house home stay, which also goes by the name of Hidden Valley Coorg - Forest cabin. I couldn't find many reviews about the place...other than some old one's. On seeing that it's located far from the main touristy places, which is exactly what we were looking for, so we decided to give it a try. The booking process was very smooth, Mr Prabhakar, was easily accessible for any queries. Now coming to the location of the homestay...it's about 11 kms from club Mahindra, madikeri. There are 2 large Rooms on higher ground just behind the owner's( Mr Manu Kumar) home. Large enough to accommodate a dozen people. Toilets are clean and hot water available round the clock. It's a magical place..we were welcomed by clouds and cool weather. As soon as we checked in went for a short trek with Bharat( Who took good care of us) to the nearby hilltop and really enjoyed the magical views. There are three friendly dogs too who accompanied us where whereever we went, almost felt like they were our guides as they ran before is showing us the right paths. The next day we did the customary tourist visit to madikeri town, came back to the property had lunch and then headed out to a nearby waterfall, which on any given day is much better than abbi falls, coz you get to trek to the waterfall and also play in the cool refreshing water. Adults and kids all enjoyed this trip. I have to thank Mr and Mrs Kumar for the awesome, tasty homemade food that they prepared...there's nothing to complain about. For people who are looking out for solitude.....this is the place to be..no mobile network, just you and nature, bird watchers will have a really good time, with so many different species flying around all day. Being deep in natural surroundings, be ready to be bitten by a few leeches....A request to Prabhakar and Mr Manu, since most city folks would be visiting and I'm sure all guests would come with inappropriate footwear. If gum boots could be provided to the guests for a nominal fee, I'm sure that would just make the entire trip all the more enjoyable. Out and out an enjoyable trip, If you stay at Red house home stay I'm very sure you will not regret your decision
