Mapa bungalow is the only one accommodation at Songan Village, Kintamani, Bali. Located at the foot of volcano Batur and just 10 minutes walk from hot springs. It’s great place to start trekking to Batur volcano for the sunrise and for relax of your body and soul. Bungalow with 2 rooms: one - two single beds, second - one super king size bed. Clean and bright rooms with a small terrace and wonderful views of Lake Batur, caldera, Mount Abang and farm plantations. Each room have bathroom with a bathtub, hot water and view of Batur volcano. Also we have transport service and trekking to Batur volcano.
mapa lake view bungalows have a beautiful, carefully maintained garden and stunning natural surroundings. feels like being in some other place and time, far away from noise, stress and pollution. i enjoyed my long walks around songan, seeing farmers dig the land and grow vegetables. it was a calming, simple, yet extraodinary experience. the rooms are kept very clean and staff always around, sincerely caring about my stay. restaurant and the cook are excellent (especially soups) and prices more than reasonable. the only small obstacle was wifi, every time i had to relog, maybe because of iphone. at the end of my stay the owner arranged for me a full day sightseeing with highly educated taxi driver who’s english was fluent. we could communicate very well and he taught me a lot about balinese culture. terima kasih

I stumbled across this little 'village' style accommodation after looking at a few others and am entirely happy I chose to stay here. I chose a wooden lumbung for 350k per night and have been so comfortable. The view from my room (from my bed!) is breathtaking, the garden is gorgeous and I felt very welcome. Even in CoVid times when everything is closed or running at half speed, these rooms were all clean and freshly aired and well cared for. I had a beautiful massage from Wayan (150k) and she also was my guest relations person - a ver kind and welcoming person and i appreciate her help. It was quiet, it was cool at night and warm in the day. Yes, there were some flies at afternoon times but this is because it is in nature and the flies come when the oranges are ripe. I just used some spray and kept the doors shut for a few hours - no problem. No hot water so just have a shower before the sun goes down! Wifi reasonable 0 if you have some serious online stuff to do this is not your place, but I was able to Netflix at night and manage normal email stuff during the day! I enjoyed very much walking from the guest house into town in the mornings to get a coffee. Up the hill and through the beautiful village. It was very close to the main street and all the great coffee roasteries and warungs, but away enougt to feel like you are enjoying nature! PERFECT! I do very much recommend staying here! Do bring a jumper as it is deliciously cold at night.

The view from every angle was epic. We could see Mt Batur from our bed through 2 large windows and 2 swinging doors, which we’d leave open to enjoy fresh air & nature sounds. We were close enough to explore hiking up Mt Batur safely on our own. All bungalows have a 360 view of mountain range, with sunset views from an open roof deck. Each unit has large balcony where delicious breakfast is served to your liking. We also ate tasty meals in their lovely dark-wood-finished restaurant. We moved here after being stressed at a different guest house in the busier part of Kintamani, which due to its proximity to the lake had hoards flies. We wanted the affordable Balinese “luxuries:” hot water, A/C, WIFI, clean spacious room, comfortable bed, nice pool, hot kettle with tea/coffee, drinking water, AND artistic attention to detail. We were relieved to find all this once we moved to Latengaya Mt Batur, in addition to good vibes thanks to the genuinely caring manager Made and receptionist Opik. They were respectful, attentive, and gracious *without* the too-nice-to-be-true- tourist hustle, aka “hospitality”. I’m glad I didn’t see the review about no hot water, as it may have deterred my choice. Our hot water was *Fine*. Perhaps it was just her room? We were celebrating my sons 11th birthday and our stay here ensured great memories. Two things I especially appreciated: 1) the landscaping was perfect - everything had aesthetic value with zero clutter; 2) The pillows had an extra waterproof liner, which I have never seen (having stayed at 10 accommodations in this price range). The mattresses looked brand new. The stones in the shower were therapeutic for me, and easy to pile to the side if the bare floor was preferred. There are a few local eateries, a billiard hall (pool table), a mini store, and fruit stand all within 5 minutes walk. The reception pointed us in the right direction. The road was very quiet at all hours of the day. We enjoyed on every level & felt relaxed/rejuvenated after our one week stay. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Stayed for 1 night here, the location is great but have no view. Mrs. Sari is super friendly and helpful. She helped me during my stay and give excellent service to her guests. Booked for superior room, I got a big room with big bathroom (with bathtub). But lilbit annoyed by the bed, it is not comfortable, it makes sound "krakk" everytime

Nestled in beautiful mountainous landscape, Batur Mountain View is located in the cool climate area of Kintamani. Mountains view and Lake Batur can be enjoyed from all rooms.
This place has an amazing view to Mount Batur and Lake Batur. It is on the road where the trucks are passing for transporting sands and other materials. Sometimes we can hear the roar but only on working hours (morning to eary evening). The road is quit a challenging form some with poor driving skill. This road is not suitable for easy cycling (unless you're a pro). It offers big room which need maintenance in some areas. The main issues in this place is the humidity which cause many walls are peels off. Bathroom almost as big as the room itself. Intalling URINALs on the bathroom would be good for male since it still has plenty of space. Urinal would help male not to pee on the floor hence reduce pee smell in bathroom. This place has unique restaurant called The Kayuan. it is very instagrammable. Food and drinks are so so, but better than most of other place in this area.

Caldera once was legendary Hotel in Kintamani, now we are back with new concept to bring you more happiness in Kintamani.
I recommend you this hotel and restaurant if you want to be far from the city crowd and looking for relaxing place with a very beautiful view of Mount Batur. The food also very delicious (I recommend you the fried rice and watermelon drink).

Excellent hostel. Arrived at 9pm wanting to hike Mount Batur the next morning, which was quickly organised by the friendly staff. Rooms were clean and the area was quiet and relaxing, setting us up for a great hike with the flamboyant and energetic guide! On arrival back from the hike we were able to take a nap, have a warm shower, and had our ongoing travel to Gili islands organised for us with no hassle. Would definitely stay again, but pack more mosquito repellent. Hehe

Songan Home Stay is a new house located in the village of Songan. This place is very close to the residents' house so we feel comfortable and safe to stay at this place.Besides being able to see the views of the lake and mountains, we can also interact directly with the villagers and can find out firsthand how life is in this village.
We stayed there for two nights. We had a nice clean room. The staff was very nice and helpful. Inda (the girl who was our guide to Batur) was great, she is communicative, tries to do her best, explained peculiarities of the life on the village. She is working at the hotel, so you don't have to find the guide somewhere else. Our tracking to Batur cost us 400000 IDR per person which included breakfast on the top of volcano (boiled eggs, sandwich with egg, banana sandwich, bananas and chocolates). We climbed for one hour and a half. We enjoyed the sunrise. Bathroom/toilet in the homestay was shared with other neighbors. So every time you walk in, the floor is wet or hot water is gone. Breakfasts were delicious (fried bananas with syrop and fruits). Coffee, tea, water were always available for free. This homestay looks like paradise among all other buildings in the village. They have really nice garden. Thank you!
