The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy some peace, quiet and natural beauty. Except perhaps in the summer, when the Isle of Wight Festival draws visitors from all over the world. In 1970, the Festival was the largest rock-music event ever held. It was called Britain's Woodstock and featured Jimi Hendrix and The Who. (Not so much peace or quiet that week.) The island is also known for its world-famous sailing and lovely resorts, where people have been vacationing since Victorian times.

Stayed at this very friendly hotel for the Jubilee weekend. Very good location and fantastic views out from our balcony across the sea. All the staff wer amazing and very helpful especially Dennis who checked us in, showed us around the hotel, and when asked even provided advice for some places to visit. Very easy walk to the Old Village which had a good selection of pubs that did very good good.

Our first visit to Sentry Mead since the refurbishment etc. Really nicely done, difficult when what they were doing was trying to improve what was already very nice. Luxurious rooms with all the extras and more. Friendly, helpful and engaging staff. Vast selection of food for breakfast, everything freshly cooked to order. Our dogs were welcomed with open arms and had all the amenities they could wish for! All in all a seriously nice weekend away with our family that we shall repeat as soon as we are able.

The Birdham At Bembridge offers quality dining and stylish rooms in the quaint village of Bembridge. We have fourteen en-suite rooms, each room is tastefully furnished for a relaxing break.
Just needed an overnight for my daughter and I to stay on the Island - choose The Birdham on the back of the TripAdvisor reviews. Excellent hotel, great accommodation, good size car park and very welcoming staff. Whilst we didn't need to use the restaurant in the evening, the food looked fabulous. Walking distance to the harbour and lifeboat station for an evening stroll. Breakfast was first class with really good quality, local ingredients and such a choice. Given this hotel was less than half the price of the Premier inn, it was so much better. Thank you for looking after us so well, hope to return and be able to stay a little longer.

If you’re looking for an inn in Bembridge, look no further than The Crab & Lobster Inn. Looking to explore? Then look no further than Bembridge Windmill (1.0 mi) and Bembridge Heritage Centre (0.6 mi), which are some popular Bembridge attractions – all conveniently located within walking distance of the inn. The staff at The Crab & Lobster Inn looks forward to serving you during your upcoming visit.
Me and my family went for a meal at this restaurant and it was lovely! The waitress we had gave us exceptional service all nice and was very pleasant and always making sure we are all okay for drinks etc. The food was really lovely, I had steak and half a lobster and it was so good! The rest of my family had a mixture of food and they all enjoyed it. The only downfall I would say is the annoying alarm buzzer that keeps going off every 5 mins, but this is so the waitresses know when the food is ready but that's the only thing I would say. We would defiantly make a return to this restaurant as it was yummy.

Unique boat-shaped pub located on Bembridge harbour with 5 all new ensuite cabins (in 2012), all beautifully appointed, above pub which was completely refurbished in 2011 and serving all fresh, made in house pub food, including homemade burgers, fish pie, local crab salad and fresh off the boat fish. Also sofas, roaring fire, piano, beer, three outside terraces and attractive friendly staff.
We were really looking forward to our pizzas after reading the reviews. Unfortunately our pizzas did not meet our expectations. Target pizza, 7 small prawns on the entire pizza!!! Bears no resemblance to photo on website and at £14 very expensive and no way value for money. Ordered a dip still looking for it. No rocket on pizza.

The Gracellie Hotel is 100 yards from Shanklin beach. We have a large free car park for guests. Full restaurant facilities are available and the view, quality of restaurant and professional service ensure a delightful dining experience. Relax in our Charlie's bar with a real pub feel, juke box, pool table and darts or relax in our quiet bar area.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay! The room was bright, clean and fresh and the food was excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful and nothing was too much bother. It was really close to the beach and had lots of fun activities near by to suit us. It was great that they had a hotel bar too. We will definitely be coming to stay again!

Ventnor Bay House, a luxurious two bedroom bed and breakfast, is set on the cliff top overlooking Ventnor Haven, with spectacular, uninterrupted views. The house sits in a grand Victorian terrace of nine houses, originally built to house naval officers. Ventnor Bay House provides the perfect holiday accommodation. Minimum 2 night stay.
We stayed for 2 nights in May after visiting Osborne House. I endorse previous reviews. The location is perfect for the sea view, access to the coastal walk and just minutes into town where there is plenty of choices to eat. Richard is a great host: accommodating, informative and knowledgable. The rooms are on the 2nd floor accessible by grand stairs. Nice touches with sherry, cake, sweets, drinks in the fridge and tea/coffee. Richard arranged breakfast to our preferences including homemade Bircher muesli. Access to the property is slightly obscure through what looks like a police car park. IoW is surprisingly hilly in the east and south and Ventnor is essentially built on a cliff. We will be back!

Visited for Sunday lunch. Food and service very good. Staff were friendly and were able to accommodate us at short notice. Local folk band playing which added to the atmosphere. Lovely place and will definitely visit again.
