The room was ok, as we have seen around and as per usual quality around. BUT the price was SO HIGH that we were expecting something better. The room was ok, but without a TV and a proper Air Conditioned. The room was VERY HOT, the AC was not working and sleeping was almost impossible. Not acceptable at all the Huge temperature we suffered. I don't think the service was worthy and I don't recommend It.

This typical stone-built Tuscan farmhouse, completely renovated, is only 5 km from the town of Greve in Chianti and is the perfect base for anyone who wishes to visit the great art cities of Tuscany and the medieval villages of Chianti, or for those who prefer walking or excursions on mountain bikes, or for those who want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the countryside. On the first floor of the house there are 6 bedrooms with bathroom, each one finely furnished with great attention to every detail. The splendid ceilings with wood beams and terracotta tiles, the windows which offer beautiful views of the garden, the vines and the hills make this house special. There is a large dining room with a fireplace where we serve breakfast. There is also a kitchen for the use of the guests of the B&B.Le Cetinelle’s position is indeed special, on a hill-top away from the crowds, 620m above sea-level. Our guests can relax in the lovely flower garden which surrounds the house, where tables, chairs and hammocks are at the disposal of all the guests. The saltwater pool has spectacular views over the vines, the olive groves, the hills and as far as Florence itself, particularly beautiful at sunset. Guests can sample the farm’s products – wine and olive oil.

Visited here as a guest for a wedding. Very old with lots of character. Appears to have many forms of accommodation, Nice gardens and pool. set in the hills, subject to individual thunderstorms which tend to get trapped in the hills. Apart from this, it is a destination full of character and we enjoyed the wedding dancing in the courtyard til late.

According to the Book of Taxes the Decimario of 1692 (17th century) the territory of the Parish of San Pietro a Cintoia was divided among various farmhouses, including La Sala, which belonged to the monks of Montescalari. The population of the Pieve di San Pietro a Cintoia was never very large. In 1696 there were only 9 families totaling 112 members. In 1790 Mr. Giovan Batta Torricelli lived at La Sala with 11 people. In 1855 Ms. Maddalene Pampalini lived at La Sala with 6 people, together with Mr. Antonio Trambusti and his family of 6 . The tax used in the past called Decima was determined by the profits on wheat, oil and wine and was divided between the estate owner and the share croppers. The tax was paid to the Church of San Pietro. In 1692 La Sala Farm belonged to the monks living in the Abbey of Montescalari. Notified by the Archives of the Dioceses of Fiesole. In 1989 Sandro and Carla became owners of La Sala. The tax called Decima was no longer applied!
This was a perfect stay: amazing views, wonderful hosts and beautiful landscapes. La Sala was everything we had hoped for in a second honeymoon getaway, and a chance to stay somewhere amazing while we toured the Tuscany region. The family at La Sala were welcoming, warm, and were committed to making our stay a special one. Fresh tomatoes greeted us each day, grown from the garden there. Make sure and ask your hostess about the unique and lovely decor, of which she is rightfully proud.

Ci torneremo sicuramente!!
