Hill Top Hotel built in 1980, is the oldest and the most luxurious hotel situated in the heart of Karimabad, Hunza. It is the oldest among the new crop of country retreats offering laid-back luxury for jaded urbanities, international adventure and culture lover tourists. Hill Top Hotel offers a discreet retreat in the heart of Himalayas for discerning grown-ups, who want a bit of old-fashioned style without stuffiness in the presence of modern 4 star amenities.
This is our very first time in Pakistan and we came straight to Hunza Valley. Be it hotel a staff or normal people. People in general here are way to humble and giving. Basically people here are the good reason that we will come back.

I visited Madina Hotel II three times during my stay in Pakistan in February-March 2021 together with two fellow Swedes and we truly enjoyed this place. The secluded garden was super cozy and we had all our meals out there. Superb and kind service and so interesting to hear the owner's stories from the hotel's rich past (and there are photos to prove it!). Makes me smile just writing this :) Thank you for your great hospitality! PS. Walking distance from the Gilgit airport.

The Serena Altit Fort Residence comprises of heritage rooms and luxury tents situated in the Royal Garden of the historic 11th century Altit Fort in the Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan.
This amazing hotel is in a quiet area, a little distance from the hustle-bustle of Karimabad. This hotel is located at the end of a cobblestone-lined pedestrian street which has small shops on both sides selling local dry fruit, honey, handicrafts, provisions, etc. The hotel is actually within a well laid out, perfectly maintained private garden with fruit trees. The main hotel building is well designed and classy. The reception staff is highly professional and very courteous. On arrival, fresh apricot juice is served. Pedestrian pathways lead from the main hotel to a number of independent cabins/ rooms (with attached baths) which are located within walking distance. These cabins/independent rooms have all modern amenities. A small private sitting area at the back of each unit has stunning views of the valley and snow-covered peaks. The restaurant is in an independent building with a terrace and has amazing views. A rather simple but healthy breakfast is served each morning by very courteous and highly professional staff. The service provided by the hotel staff was superb. Staying here was indeed a wonderful, memorable experience. My special thanks to Ms. Naveen Baig (Reception) and Mr. Asghar Khan (Manager).

The Luxus luxury hotel is here to offer you a unique journey, creating with you memorable experiences of stay, relaxation and rejuvenation in Attabad, Hunza. Inspired by the endless blue colors of the sky and the lake, Luxus Hunza combines high-quality services that go beyond the standards for a truly luxurious hospitality experience.
My husband and I stayed two nights here as part of our honeymoon package. We booked the presidential suite. We were severely disappointed. To get to the room we had to walk down a narrow cobbled walkway (not great for health and safety). When we arrived at our room the whole outside of our room was under working construction. Not the noise you want on your honeymoon. The room was dirty with stains on the bedding, furniture and curtains. The room was very worn and tired. For what we paid I was disgusted with the dire state of the room. We asked for an iron and what we received was a black burnt out 1950’s style iron with a stained ironing board. We complained to reception and they replaced the iron with another burnt out iron!!! We did complain to head office in Lahore who were very apologetic but did nothing to rectify the problem. The food in their restaurant was extortionately priced. Breakfast we had made to order and that was nice. The receptionist was rude on our arrival. He just disregarded us. When you’re on your honeymoon and you pay that kind of money a certain level of hospitality is expected which we did not receive. The views from our room were exhilarating but it wasn’t enough to make our stay enjoyable. The tv was tiny with no cable. They make the room look good on their website but trust me it’s dirty. The toilet had stains splashed all over the outside of the toilet bowl. Not what you’d expect from an apparently five star hotel. In the end with all of our complaints they offered us a 50% discount off our next stay. Any other country in the world would have refunded our money back and offered a free stay next time. I really wanted to enjoy my stay here but was so severely let down. Instead of bringing their own rude staff from Lahore, Luxus should employ local people in higher positions and learn from the hospitality given by the local people.

Located on the legendary Silk Route with the magnificent view of the Karakorum mountain range, Gulmit Tourist Inn is the best place for the leisure traveler and nature lovers. Gulmit is the gateway of the Upper-Hunza Valley and an ideal stopover for visiting Khunjrab Pass (Pak-China Border). Gulmit Tourist Inn offers a choice of lodging facility from its Deluxe Rooms to Pamiri Suite for individuals, families, student trips and adventure seekers. Every room has the breathtaking view of the surroundings valley, snow-capped peaks and landscape.
A humble looking abode and people with no airs, is what maks you feel right at home. Gulmit has always enticed me with its simplicity, the glorious views of the grand Passu cathedrals from the balcony of the Inn. The place skirted with generous amounts of roses of a variety of colours, apple, apricot and cherry trees and my eternally memorable takht (wooden bench) under the willow tree. Always been a comfortable place to stay which serves a simple breakfast and meals.

It is owned by an ex-army man, Mr. Akbar, a very nice and humble human and I've been staying in this hotel for the last 3 years. The views are spectacular from the hotel, the food is good, rooms are small but clean and very peaceful.
