While Atlanta is the anchor and capital of Georgia, you can aim in any direction to find distinctly different regions – from the tail of the Appalachians in the North to the rolling Piedmont hills and on down to the seaside marshes in the East. Atlanta lays claim to the state’s number one attraction – Stone Mountain State Park. They say it best - “Serious fun. Endless adventure.” Just 15 minutes from downtown, the world’s largest exposed granite dome is surrounded by 3,200 acres of natural beauty and stimulating activities for every member of the family – sky rides and hiking paths, laser shows and pedal boats along Stone Mountain Lake. Golfers tee it up, while red foxes dash across the fairways in a state where the Masters Golf Tournament creates revered green-jacket memories every year. It’s a long downhill ride down to historic Savannah, a ‘stone’s throw’ from the Atlantic and a virtual step back in time to Southern architecture and stately squares. St. Simon’s and Jekyll Islands offer barrier island beauty and a wonderful combination of outdoor activities, historic sites and artistic culture. Originally the private winter playground of wealthy northeasterners, Jekyll Island stretches along 10 miles of coastal beaches and inland marshes. Cycling and walking paths wind under moss-laden oaks, and a tour of Millionaire Village takes you back to those Cornelius Vanderbilt and J.P. Morgan days. The kid-friendly Summer Waves Water Park adds man-made fun to natural water sport activities. Coastal golf courses and sophisticated St. Simon’s Island appeal to moms, dads and vacationing couples.

Voted "Best Savannah B&B / Inn" six years, Presidents' Quarters Inn exudes the charming ways of the American South. This historic and private bed-and-breakfast hotel (16 overly spacious executive quarters; ca. 1855) is a time-honored place of beauty on Oglethorpe Square and featured in Southern Living, "The South's Most Scenic Drives". Guest favorites are the walkable historic district location, private courtyard, balconies, free parking, elevator, WiFi, lovely breakfast, wine hour & extraordinary southern hospitality. General Robert E. Lee was an overnight guest. The 'Trust Lot' was the first residence site of Georgia's First Royal [British] Governor (ca. 1735). It was a movie location for "Roots" television mini-series.
My friend and I stayed from May 31 until June 4. The Inn is located in the perfect spot and has lots of 'old world' charm. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Especially Jo ... she could not do enough for us. Food excellent and perfect ambiance. Would stay here again (this was second time.)

The romantic Foley House Inn bed and breakfast in Savannah, Georgia is made up of two lavishly renovated historic mansions facing the quiet and lovely Chippewa Square. This romantic Savannah Inn is distinguished both by location and historic prominence. This historic bed and breakfast mansion hotel is located in the exact center of your Savannah Georgia destination journey
We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow guests. The interior of the Foley House is beautiful as well as cozy with “water color” cool jazz music playing in the background. Chuck was fun to talk to as well as very helpful. We were served a very tasty breakfast each morning and wine at 6:00 pm each night. The location of the Foley House was by the Chippewa Square (Historic District). There were many restaurants in short walking distance. This also included an approximate 15 minute walk to the river shops, restaurants, riverboat, shuttle tours. We enjoyed Savannah so much because we enjoyed everything about the Foley House.

We found the Inn itself charming, the owners and desk staff delightful, and the bar is a locals favorite. The issue is that housekeeping does not clean beyond the surface, and the room was pretty disgusting. The furniture is stained, the carpet is worn, dirty, and well just missing in some spots. The walls are dingy and dirty, and both the air conditioner and room fan were horrendous! The baseboards are painted over mold and a layer or dust so thick they clearly have not been cleaned in months if not years. We would not walk barefooted in room 203. The pictures below are just some of what is wrong.

Forsyth Park Inn is an authentic bed and breakfast and one of the grandest mansions overlooking Savannah's premier park, Forsyth Park. The Forsyth Park Inn is famous for it's bountiful and delicious full breakfasts, wine and hors d'oeuvres in the late afternoon and tasty sweets, fresh brewed coffee and refreshing tea each evening. Please come and relax in this circa 1893 historic inn and view the opulent park with the most majestic (and famous) fountain in all of historic Savannah. You will take with you memories of a truly magical stay. We are a non-smoking inn and our cottage welcomes pets.
Forsyth Park Inn, Bobbie Jo, and the staff were the perfect choice for our elopement. They took care of everything; flowers and décor, a delicious cake, a great cocktail hour on the inn's veranda overlooking the park, and recommending an amazing officiant and photographer. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect and beautiful setting for our big day!

The University Inn at Emory is a small 32 room Inn on the boarder of Emory University and serves Emory University Hospital, Winship Cancer Center, Children's Hospital of Atlanta, CDC and other nearby facilities. We have larger than average rooms and include parking, continental breakfast as well as wifi with all rooms at no additional charge. Some rooms are pet friendly. Rooms have microwave and refrigerator, and some have kitchens. The Inn is walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and is served by an area shuttle system that gives access to the City of Decatur, Midtown, shopping mall and CDC.
On May 30, 2022, my dad and I stayed at the Emory Inn. The staff was professional and most of all welcoming. They displayed a demeanor which said, " we are truly humbled that you chose us for your stay." The Inn's grounds were well kept, the ADA room we chose was nicely appointed and clean. On check out, I needed assistance lifting my dad into his wheel chair and then to the car. The groundsman willingly lended his assistance and volunteered to wait with my dad by the car while I was checking out. The desk assistant came out with me to bid my dad well upon our leaving. I travel often and have stayed in establishments that cater to professional travelers. This by far is the best staff, from the night to the day team I have encountered. Now that I have exposed the secret, I hope I haven't spoiled my chance of there being availability the next time that I need a room in the Inn.

You'll enjoy relaxing in the cypress rockers on the Inn's verandahs. Walk to the waterfront park, fishing pier and boat ramp. Take a leisurely stroll around our historic village. There are 2 championship golf courses nearby. Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge is 45 minutes away. The beaches of Jekyll, St. Simons and Amelia Island are a short drive from our St. Marys, Georgia bed and breakfast.
I stayed at the Spencer house for a weekend while visiting Cumberland Island. This was my 1st visit and I was very impressed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hostess Tiffany was awesome and extremely accommodating. I will stay at the Spencer House again. R

The DeSoto Beach Vacation Properties is comprised of a Bed & Breakfast with 3 units, and 3 Garden Suites, and 15 other units thru out the Tybee Island area, most with full kitchens and beach access.
Had a good stay in the Tybee Suite. Took my wife for Mothers Day. Liked the home feel with a nice breakfast and wine and cheese in the evenings. Lovely view of the beach on a nice deck. Room is a bit dated, but adequate. Front desk clerks were friendly and helpful.

New just added wonderful Pool that is Heated/Cooled. You will step back in time upon entering this spacious historic Tybee raised cottage originally built in 1910. Transformed into The Georgianne Inn during 1921, this beach home has undergone many changes but has never lost the sense of nostalgia it evokes. Situated just 3 houses back from the sand and surf, this estate will give you a sense of how things used to be on Tybee Island. Even though The Georgianne Inn is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, it is close to downtown Tybee and the stunning Pier and Pavilion. No need to drive for great dining, it’s just a quick walk to a wide variety of restaurants, attractions and nightlife.
We loved it here. Everything was just perfect. The staff, the room, the grounds, pool, just everything. Located near shops, restaurants, beach was just around the corner. Highly recommend sitting on swing!

Just north of Atlanta, sits this historic country inn, nestled on 17 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Featuring 16 elegant yet rustic guest rooms and a fine dining restaurant, guests are treated to a serene setting and award winning cuisine. There are numerous hiking trails and waterfalls nearby to explore. Or simply relax and enjoy the picturesque setting of the inn with extensive herb and flower gardens, swimming pool, sun deck and expansive meadow where you'll often see deer grazing. Glen-Ella Springs has received the Diner's Choice Award from Open Table as one of the top restaurants in Georgia for the past four years.
This was our first trip to Glen Ella and won’t be the last! I don’t recall hearing a sound of modern civilization the entire time. The 100+ year old property is well -maintained and gardens are beautiful. Notes of interest: Internet connection is spotty Kierig coffee maker is in room, so bring extra pods if you are an early riser and need more than what’s supplied. The bed linens are very soft and cozy. The bath towels are also soft and absorbent. No TV or radio in the room but a very nice sound machine. 1st floor rooms facing the meadow are the best. Easy day trips to Tallulah Falls, Dillard, Clayton, Clarksville, Helen and Dalonaga. The restaurant isn’t open on Sunday evening, but nearby Clarksville offers several good options. Very nice swimming pool! We’ll return!
