The port city of Bastia flings its arms wide open to weary travelers disembarking from a long ferry trip. For a truly charming Corsican experience, catch a train through the mountains to the beach, passing by rustic villages and grazing cows along the way. Take a few hours or even a few weeks to explore the island’s famous walking trails, including the varsity-level GR 20.

You really feel at home

This hotel residence is ideally located in a very quiet area, 10 mins drive from Bonifacio and 5 mins walk from a very nice beach. The one bedroom villa had a partial see view from the terrace with a barbecue. The kitchen is very well equipped with a dish washer and oven. We were given free bed linen and towels which are usually charged. You can park your car next to the villa. We took all our meals at the restaurant by the pool, it was always excellent and very reasonably priced. The lady at the service is very pleasant. We enjoyed the warm jacuzzi but didn't swim at the pool as the water was too cold.

On pictures the hotel look reasonably nice. However there are many shortcomings. - The room was described as 'large'. In fact it was much smaller than the promised 20 square metres. But the terras was bigger than the room. - The airconditioning was very very noisy. Even when shut of, there was a constant whistling noise. - the safety deposit box had not been attached to the wall. - they had to replace the main lighting during our stay. - breakfast was basic (horrible coffee) and served in a dark room in the back. The ham was not cooled. - the bathroom was small and very basic. - I was also frustrated with the attitude of the manager when I announced that we had a nest of ants in the room. She made it very clear that it was our fault for bringing food into the room. - The double bed was very small which made it difficult to sleep. Positive : + view from the room + parking along a cliff + attitude of the staff

Awesome 2 night say at this super B&B!

Reviewed By Princessweapon

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2019 (€90 a night, double room with terrace, parking and breakfast). Our room was separate from the main building, so it was like a garage area, they had converted into a room, but we loved it. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable! Breakfast was more than adequate and A/C worked well, however wifi was a little spotty, but we used our own data instead and honestly you will not spend a lot of time in the room as there is so much to see and experience in Patrimonio and Saint Florent. There are beautiful wineries close by which you can stop into for tastings and 2 amazing beaches just 5 minutes drive away, which were lovely and relaxing (Bo's Plague & Plague Farinole - L'Ambada). It is a 5-minute drive to Saint Florent, which is a romantic city to walk around with lots of restaurants and cafes, but we felt it was so beautiful to stay at this B&B and we would recommend it. Thank you, Cyril!

Hotel Monsieur Miot

Lovely

Reviewed By Larry W

It took almost an hour to get our luggage delivered, but once we settled in, we were very comfortable here. The design of the hotel is vaguely Greek island. We were in room 111, and had a very nice sea view, although not unobstructed. The terrace had a table and chairs and they brought two chaises at our request. The terrace had loose tiles. There was not enough storage room for both of us to unpack. The bathroom was good, with two vanities shaped like deep bowls. Very cool. Shower was good. Towels, bedding, and amenities were all quite good. The bed was comfortable. There were enough outlets. Service was for the most part fine. Fanny and Xaviera were especially helpful and professional. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. This was a good hotel to use as a base to explore Cap Corse. The hotel has a beach with lounges and towels accessible via a walk through a jungly garden and under the road. There is a lot of debris from trees on the beach, but the hotel told us that the mayor forbids raking it up because that would interfere with nature. Odd and unfortunate. We enjoyed our two nights here and would return.

Crude outside but fantastic inside

Reviewed By Daniel L

When walking towards the place we honestly wondered what on earth it was (the facade is a bit, should we say, "worn"). But as soon as we got inside of the building, it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise after all. The room standard was actually top-notch, clean and new and nothing at all to complain about. The city itself is small but very beautiful. Highly recommended.

Great view, reasonable rooms

Reviewed By bookmiller

As many others have noted, this is the place to stay at the end of the Mare-a-mare sud trail. We got in late, after an adventuresome day because of a bridge out on the trail near the start of our day in Ste-Lucie-de-Tallano. We didn't all get in until after 8:00 pm, but they served us dinner with no issues. And what a wonderful evening, sitting out on the terrace in great comfort enjoying the food and the ambiance. The rooms are serviceable, reasonably clean, though not a place that is comfortable for more than sleeping. But with a panoramic view like that from the terrace, why would you choose to spend time in the room? The service was competent, but not overly friendly.
