Reviewed today As an experienced traveler with many years working in the tourist and airport industries my wife and I experienced a first last week at a property near Tulle in France. Admittedly we were a few minutes late from their listed arrival constraint…. Actually 15 minutes 8.15pm!!!! However there were 2 numbers on paperwork provided by Booking.com…….none of which replied ‘So called Manor’ completely locked and access impossible We waited in hope that messages left would at least be answered… even if to tell us we are too late, however bizarre that is Eventually left to find alternative place to stay a more traditional accommodation with people always available . I have no idea how this place has had any good reviews because there is obviously no person to contact if help needed. To further add fuel to the fire they still managed to charge us the full price with no hesitation. I am pursuing this by other means because although by their and booking.cons system we were a No show so due to pay anyway €89,20 maybe not a massive sum but that would have been much more acceptable if someone had actually answered our calls Really totally unacceptable behaviour for anyone in the holiday and tourist industryMore

We stayed over night en route to the Pays Basque and whilst off the beaten track this place ticked all the boxes. It’s a simple and charming place where you are warmly welcomed by Ruud & Chiara. Had a tasty burger for dinner, a good nights sleep and a yummy breakfast. Our furry friend was well looked after too! We wished we would have stayed another night as the region is an unexpected delight.

Stayed for one night, room had a ground floor terrace that looked over pool and into valley. Exceptional, clean, large, comfy bed shower and bathroom. Service at reception was excellent, also had breakfast next morning, this would be in our opinion one of the best breakfasts we have had in France, large array, home made conserves, expresso coffee, great environment, what else could you ask for to start your day!

House of 200 m² with a 5000 m² garden with trees. 4 Renovated rooms with 1 Queen size bed (160) and 1 or 2 extra single bed (90). Suite shower room with walk in shower and toilet. Including breakfast - Meals on reservation. Welcome drinks offered.
Although we received a friendly welcome, we didn’t think this B&B quite measured up to some of the comments made on Tripadvisor. It is well-located in the Dordogne valley just outside Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. The room we took with a verandah was modern although lacking in comfortable chairs. There is a decent-sized pool and the hot tub can be pre-booked. One can soak up the peaceful location and varied birdsong either on the verandah or by the pool. Breakfast (8-10am) was international and a good selection, which included home-made confitures, yoghurt and, if liked, freshly squeezed orange juice, cheese and ham. However, as we were the last to arrive at 9am we had to put up with the host insensitively crashing about as he cleared up around us and did the washing up in what is their living/dining/kitchen and reception room. Fred and Jules offer a dinner at 25€ per person on certain evenings as long as there are four people. On offer is one item for each course of locally-sourced French food, in which they quite clearly take pride, but disappointingly, despite being asked before arrival, nothing was suitable for our previously advised dietary needs. This is clearly a B&B much frequented by French guests where everyone sits around one large communal table, not uncommon in France. If you are a non-French speaker you might find this rather uncomfortable. One final curiosity: we were surprised that our bed was never made each morning, and hence the lower rating for cleanliness.

Very clean & fresh, huge rooms, great shower & bedding, excellent under cover parking and general facilities. Front desk (and everything else), Christine, could not have been more pleasant & helpful. Attached casual restaurant/wine bar is also very good. All in all, a welcome refuge on a rainy November night.

Within the correzian part of the Dordogne Valley, in our family mansion of the eighteenth, overlooking a vast plain, we'll be delighted to welcome you and make you discover the peace and beauty of their country. The first guest room, cozy and warm, is on the ground floor, easy to access, with a large bathroom and toilet. The second guest room is located on the 2nd floor of the house, attic, with a bathroom and toilet. The family suite consists of the latter room and a second one adjoining, the bathroom and toilet are common. The third room, is the largest, 40m2, bed XXL, panoramic view, private pool. Shelter for bicycles, motorcycles, fishing equipment, ... Breakfast is served at the family table with homemade jams and cakes. Dordogne (fishing, canoe) down the road, the woods with their marked paths just at the door of the house, Argentat (5km), Beaulieu, Collonges-la Rouge, Curemonte, Turenne, Rocamadour, Padirac or Salers and Cantal mountains.
My husband and I stayed for two nights here with our 10 month old baby. The Pradels were so kind and welcoming, and the house was absolutely beautiful. There is a wonderful view, a pool, and Argentat is extremely picturesque, with lots of things in the area to see and do. Anne and Christian were so helpful - sharing ideas of where to eat, and villages and sites. Cannot recommend more highly!
