Great expirience in a great beach town
Reviewed By Angel DIs a great experience to spend a weekend on one of the nicest beach spots on Venezuela, Choroni. The lodge or "posada" as are called in Venezuela, have comfortable facilities, and the food offered is great with a taste of the local cuisine. The accommodation fee is a little expensive in my opinion, but also the service is good so it compensates somehow

Reviewed By mariotorrealbaWent there for a half-term break. As we went last to Choroni in 3017 and had a horrible experience, our expectations were quite low. Found this gorgeous little hotel. Breakfast was included for two people $50 for both. It has lovely green areas, a large swimming pool, lounge chairs. The room was okay. But barely warm water and no tv, which is a bit strange. It has no restaurant, but as we had a previous horrendous experience in the past, we decided to take precautions this time and bring loads of things with us. So we didn't struggle at all. People are really friendly, the workers there are SO nice, polite and helpful. We ended up having a lovely time and it is very convenient as it is so close to the centre, although secluded at the same time. Would I ho again? Would i recommend it? As long as you get prepared beforehand and take your own things, absolutely yes. Loved it.

The rooms are very comfortable equipped with air conditioning the swimming pool area is relaxing perfect after a day on the beach. Can’t wait to come back !!! What a shame of service of this hotel

The concept is very good but the staff are not prepared and trained for costumer service. The manager only gives lies and poor excuses for the service. Food is good but don't expect to eat a lot because they don't have a menu for have a snack between meals. If ever you missed something don't expect to receive a good service because they will ignore you. they charge prices in US dollars in Venezuela and is not worth it

Fantastic service
Reviewed By Ben RCasa Mori is a beautiful posada, enveloped in a lush green tropical garden with great decor, a nice swimming pool and open-sky showers in the rooms, which we really loved. But the best part is the service - an absolute essential when travelling in depression-ravaged Venezuela when anything could go wrong. We had a minor issue with a boat driver hired to take us to a secluded beach, and when the Casa Mori staff heard about it they swooped into action and came up with a creative solution that left both us and the boat driver happy. And that was just one of the many things they did above and beyond the call - the sign of a professionally run posada.

They are more than happy to help you, whatever the matter could be, e.g boat trips, recommendations of restaurants and airport transfer. The rooms are very clean and cosy. There is a small pool, WIFI, clean kitchen- and barbeque area. The posada is located in the entrence of Puerto Colombia, so you can have a good night sleep, without interuptions from partying people. We can highly recommend this posada to anyone who travels to Puerto Colombia/ Choroni.

A disappointment
Reviewed By TekiGasperiUnfortunately this hostel was a disappointment from the minute we arrived, beginning with apathetic, poorly dressed employees with a horrible attitude, they didn't even help us with our bags. We made the reservation through an organization we have been using for 6-7 years, a hit every time with excellent installations, food, service and logistics, no matter how remote. This place had none of that, and turns out to be a scam when you see the pics on the website. We decided to go with our instincts, lose our money and go else where, that's how bad it was.

However, my husband loves the idea of being surrounded by palm trees and the ocean, and could not quit to Choroni. I asked him to look for an acceptable "Posada". El Ensueno was more than that. It is a beautiful quiet place, It has nice swimming pools and a restaurant. They have a cozy lobby and excellent service. The rooms are excellent. Private bathrooms inside the room with hot water. The bed is very confortable and relaxing. The owners offer an excellent service and are always there for you. Very kind and honest people. The prices are very nice also. Cant wait to come back!!

Reviewed By Dayana LWe stayed for only one night. It s a very quiet place it has a small swimming pool and it is few min walk from the Choroni beach. We had a little problem locking the door and a hurried tourist mistaken the room and succeeded to enter but we were luckily inside. In a word charming place.

Expensive and badly managed
Reviewed By Elka_10The interior court yard with a small but pretty pool is the nicest feature of this posada. The rooms are small, the bathrooms very basic, with a tinny bar of soap and sachet of shampoo and three towels, barely larger than handkerchiefs for three people. Impossible to sleep since there was a TV turned up so loudly. Eventually, I got up at 3.30 to ask it to be switched off. But it wasn't a guest, it was the night guard who had fallen so deeply asleep that I had difficulty awaking him. At 5.30 am I was awoken by a telephone ringing. After 10 minutes, I got up once again, thinking that the only was to have peace was to answer it. Once again it turned out to be the night watchman. He was gain so deeply asleep that his mobile phone continued to ring without waking him. Evidently there is no security at the hotel at night, since the back door remains open all night. It does not surprise me to hear somebody else complain of a theft. I complained to the reception in the morning and received a half hearted apology, which was about as much as I expected. Also there was no spa as advertised. And surprising they don't serve any breakfast
